I think that there is a double standard in general by all races. I guess I just don't understand why everything seems to come down to race when there are many other important issues! I find that most races hold opinions about other races that are unfounded and based purely on skin color. Television definitely adds to the problem by publicly allowing hateful and biased opinion on the air in the name of free speech. Issues like child and spousal abuse, world hunger oh yeah and a little thing called WAR should be at the center not the color of people's skin. If television spent more time focusing on correcting these problems instead of glorifying them the sorld would probably be a mush better place.

I do not know what she said but I agree that there is a double standard and that blacks can use very racial remarks and not be chastised but white men can't. I think that a racial remark regardless of color is a racial remark and everyone should be subject to the same kind of punishemnt. The use of the word n***** is wrong regardless of skin color just like the use of the word cracker

I'm just making observations here, I am not racist and am not UPSET at these observations, just bewildered. Why can africanamerican people say negative things about Caucasian people on predominantly africanamerican shows?. and why is there a black entertainment TV? There is no WET. Why can't we all just stop separating ourselves by race and just come together as HUMAN beings. We all have bodies, minds, and emotions. We all came into this world the same way and will all die someday. We should unite.

Yes, I think there's an infinite number of standards based upon your demographic. For example, white adult males have to be politically most correct. By the way, what did Barbara Walters say? - I missed it.

If a comedian does it it's funny. If a morning news anchor or talk show host says it it's racism. Yes there is a double standard in your situation and in all racial related sitautions. People just pick and choose what their going to be upset about.
