First of all, being a bad speller is not a sin. At least you're trying.

I guess that whether or not we Catholics can go to Heaven depends on the individual belief of the Southern Baptist you talk to.

There are probably some who think we can't go there unless we swing around to the Baptist way of thinking and worshipping.

But Jerry Falwell is a Baptist -- don't know if he's a "Southern" one or not -- and I know he's said that we Catholics can still go to Heaven based on our faith in Christ.

A fellow died and went to heaven and St. Peter was giving him a tour. They were wandering down a long hallway when they came to the first door and heard the sound of loud, robust singing. St. Peter explained. Those are the Methodists. You know they loved to sing on earth and here they sing all the time. At the next door, they heard the sound of letters and numbers being called out and then a great loud Bingo. St. Peter explained … those are the Catholics. You know how they love Bingo. At the next room there was the sound of laughter and music and lots of folks talking. Those are the Episcopalians --- they really know how to party. They continued down the hallway and St. Peter asked the man to be very, very quiet …. as they passed by the next door. When they made it past, the fellow asked St. Peter. Why did we need to be so quiet? Who’s in that room? Oh, St. Peter said …those are the Baptists. They think they are the only ones here. ~ (Unknown)

"There are three religious truths:  1) Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.  2) Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.  3) Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters."  ~ Author Unknown

I was raised Catholic but do not practice the religion anymore. My boyfriend is a Southern Baptist. We actually once had an argument where he told me that if I weren't "Saved", that I would go to hell. Southern Baptists are under the impression that Catholics all molest their children and worship Mary. They do not worship Mary, rather they respect her for being "The Mother of God". But as you may know, Southern Baptists tend to be a bit judgemental and hypocritical and I have met many who think that all Catholics are going to Hell. Funny seeing as how their religion was originated from Catholicism. Another reason they think Catholics will go to Hell is because they don't practice getting saved. Instead, they are baptized at birth and then confirmed into the churh during their teenage years. Souther Baptists tend to judge and fear that which they do not understand.

First off, spelling has nothing to do with being a sinner. There will be believers from all denominations in heaven. We will not be separated in heaven into groups. There will be no color distinction in heaven. We will all worship Jesus as one body. The body of Christ. The family of God. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life and only through Him can we get to heaven. So no matter what so called religion we belong to as long as we truly believe and are saved and have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we will go to heaven. There are no maybes or mights attached. Once truly saved always saved.

It's kind of like trying to spend dollars in India.

It is a completely different money system.

Faith is the same way. Each believe has its one currency, so to speak. Just as you cannot honestly spend a dollar in India, what a Baptist feels about a Catholic does not impinge on what a Catholic believes in.

SInce no one has GodsHousekeeping Seal of Approval, each person is left to decide their own fate and faith.

yes, they have just as much right as anyone else that believe in Jesus.
I don't know what point you are trying to make, aiming this question toward Southern Baptists, but I am a Southern Baptist I don't think ALL Catholics will make it to heaven, but I also don't believe that ALL Southern Baptists will either. religion doesn't get anyone into heaven.. faith in Jesus does.
many profess Christianity (in all religions), yet they rely solely on their religion to get them to heaven.. sadly, they will be disappointed.

Heaven is being accepted and respected in of one of these fine organizations.
Hell is being outcasted, and or disrespected within one of them.
I'm a southern Babtist, and would like to belive that the weathy, social beings that dominate organizations will reside in Hell for doing so in the name of God. I dont see as much wrong with dominating in buisness or sports.
However, I dont realy belive those people are going to hell, even though I would like to.

Peace.
