kenny p, youre telling me to get my facts right? 37% of civillian deaths in Iraq have been the cause of direct american involvement, 40% from criminal gangs and 23% from insurgent attacks,

aha? the terorrists "hide behind the civillians"? thats why Pte Bradle Mason testified today that he was ordered to "kill all males of military age".

Christians who like bullies telling them what to think make the best darn Republicans. You can always identify this type because they parrot the phrases they've been told to think, often word for word.
Some Christians can actually think for themselves, though, and are capable of making smarter choices.

Christianity is not based on love and compassion. Christianity is based on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By becoming a Christian you do not abrogate the right to defend yourself.
But more important than that, at the center of Christianity is an individual's relationship to God, through Jesus Christ. There is no such thing as a "Christian" nation because nations cannot enter into an individual relationship with Christ.
So to answer your question, no; it is not hypocricy for Christian to vote Republican.
If you hold your premise to be true, then it is also hypocricy for a Christian to vote Democrat, after all, being pro abortion, they are responsible for the deaths of 1.5 million innocent unborn children every year in the United States.

Being a Christian does not mean you can't defend yourself from terrorists in war. By the way the war did not kill all of those people , Iraqi and other suicide bombers killed alot of Iraqis. Remember the Sunni and Shites have been killing each other lately. It is Iraqi on Iraqi violence not all of it is collateral damage. Bush and Christians are not responsible for the 120000 deaths. By the way collateral damage is apart of war always has and always will be it is part of what makes war terrible.

It is not hypocrisy to vote Republican, it is imperative to vote Republican.
Most Democrats are far to liberal. They favor killing unborn children. They favor taking God from our lives. I could go on and on, but you get the picture I'm sure.
As for "loving Iraquis to death". That is about as goofy a statement that I have heard anyone say. The ONLY Iraqis that we have killed have been terrorists ( yes an occasional innocent, that happens in war) The terrorists are responsible for killing many of their own fellow citizens.
The fact that we are taking the war to THEIR soil quite possibly has protect you from being attacked over here at home.
Get your facts straight, people like you love to make good things look bad in order to make others look bad when they are doing good.

Who ever said that all Christians are republican....again another blanket assumption that has been made about Christians. There is not perfect political party. There will always be SOMETHING that you and I don't like about the platform of every candidate....but that doesn't mean that God did not allow for them to be in the position they are in.

i cant believe some of the answers i'm seeing here. love, compassion, hate, hypocrisy, left right, abortion, life, killing blah blah blah....
Look people, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, and everything inbetween is completely independent of being a Republican or a Democrat.
it is what we believe is the right way to do things, whether it is worship, live, die, fight, love, that directs where we align ourselves.
While many conservative and Christian beliefs are similar, one doesn't define the other.
by trying to oversimplify the facts, too many of you are making them more complicated than they need to be and you just divide people and pit them against one another too often.
Live your own damn life!

And if you are a true christian you are Right Wing!

Why would I vote for someone who number one can't even hold to his own faith, and number two believes in the legal slaughter of over 43 million unborn infants since 1973?

The Bible mentiones times of war for Isreal. Did God not tell them to go and kill their enemies? I n my opinion it is much better to vote for someone who carries on a war, than someone who allowes same sex marriges. Just pray for your president, so he canmake good desicions for the country.

As opposed to vote someone who loved 1.5 million people to death everyday? I'm talking the Liberals who are in favor of abortion.
1.5 million to 120,000: there is a HUGE difference.
You poor soul.
