i'm not trying to turn anyone Athiest, I'm a Christian. But something's always bothered me. Our society's becomming more and more free, not necessarily in good ways. For example, Sexuality is common and more accepted. I've been raised to think that you shouldn't have sex before marraige, and I'm really confused now. There are a LOT of Christian people, but you can always hear in shool about who slept with whom... If they say they're Christian, why do they disregard that old belief? was it because that was just something the Church said, but was never actually mentioned in the bible? I really don't understand the origin of that belief, and homosexuality too. Why don't people care about it anymore, but are still Christians?

Someone called punpkin who I've been sort of debating with over e-mail since yesterday just accused me of being a Muslim man in disguise. O.o

Here's part of her e-mail:

"look mate i dont care who the **** you are but i knew from the start that you were a muslim man. do you know why? let me tell you
when you replied to my first question about homosexuality among muslims you answered that there are no gay muslims (For the record, I never said this). only muslims reply as such because they try to cover up the real truth. i have been a muslim for 10 years married muslim men and lived in muslim countries and no muslim can fool me. i can read the mind of a muslim at once"

So my question is... do I look or seem like a Muslim man to you? I mean, I've got a link on my profile to my Myspace, which I guess I must have filled with fake pictures of an imaginary girl in Texas with fake friends...

Does the fact that I defend Muslims make me a not only a Muslim, but a Muslim MAN?

If so, does that mean that as a Buddhist you must avoid taking antibiotics or anything that would intentionally target their distruction? ... I am NOT trying to be disrespectful here in any way shape or form - this is a genuine questions and I am looking for a genuine answer. So if you are not familiar with the subject, kindly spare us the "cute" responses.

P.S. I know that ground worms are considered sentient beings in Buddhism and it is hard for me to image that they would have much more mental/spiritual capacities than bacteria (which by the way, happen to constitute nearly 90% of all the cells found in our human bodies).

god does or does not exist? No-one can be 100% certain until u r dead, so why do we continually argue over this issue when no-one is right. All we have are our beliefs, and they are not facts.

1) Is it because you fear his wrath or crave his love? Which one plays a bigger role in how you worship God?
2) Do you work hard by pleasing God to get to Heaven or stay out of Hell?

So in America, we believe in crime in punishment, but also more importantly no cruel and unusual punishment...the punishment must fit the crime.

We also believe in redemption. If someone breaks the law, we don't give up on them. We punish them to teach them a lesson and then we give them another chance.

However, god doesn't do any of this things. So is America more just than god?

God does not punish us and sees if we are better, god just throws us in hell and throws away the key.

Is it possible to explain religion with the help of the
physical and mathematical theorems?
Yes. It is possible.
Because creating all MATERIAL WORLD the God
could only working in an absolute reference system
and only under physical and mathematical laws.
========================
1.
What is absolute reference system?
Now it is consider, that reference frame connected with
relict isotropic radiation T = 2,7K is absolute.
But T = 2,7K is not a constant factor.
This relict isotropic radiation continues to extend and decrease
and, hence, approximately over a period of
20 billions years will reach T=0K.
That is structure of Nothing, of Vacuum, of Absolute Zero.
2.
What a geometrical and physical parameters can the particles have in
the structure of Nothing, in Vacuum, in Absolute Zero in T=0K?
According to the laws of physics :
J. Charles ( 1787), Gay-Lussac ( 1802),
W. Nernst ( 1910), A. Einstein ( 1925)
particles in a Vacuum cannot have density, volume
and consequently should be flat figures.
===================
These laws tell, that
then closer to zero T=0K, then the particles lose more their volume.
The volume of these particles aspire to infinity.
And then this “ infinity” comes the brain of physicists
stop to work. They refuse to think any more.
And I say when volume of the particles disappear they
become “flat phantoms”.
These “flat phantoms” are not abstract particles, they are real ones.
Quantums of light flies with speed c=1 have such geometrical form.
=========================
What is a quantum of light?
=============================
The secret of God and Existence hide
in the “Theory of light quanta”.

For the past several months I have been asking a few questions and responding to a few questions, as well as reading most of the answers to the various quuestions. Obviously many are glib or sarcastic responses, and thats to be expected, however, there appear to be many sincere responders. I dont necessarily agree with most of the Christian apologetics, yet occasionally I see a good response. It is not sincerity I question but rather the lack of study of Scripture, be that as it may be Most of the Atheist response appear to be more or less sarcastic, though a few have attempted to give reasonable answers to the various challenges. Now, my question, has anyone here been persuaded by argument or reasoned answers to change your previous position or belief from reading this forum?

I still don't understand why people think that it is wrong for someone to want to end their life. If someone doesn't wish to continue living then how can anyone else see that as being wrong. It is their life, and they should be able to do whatever they want. If they feel that they've reached the conclusion of it then we should be able to accept that. Someone can get killed in a accident, or die of illness and people can accept that it was their time to go. Yet it is wrong for someone to be able to choose when they should end their life. Even someone that has a terminal condition is not allowed to end their own life. I just can not understand how other people feel can not accept someone's choice about their life.

Years ago DC Comics released a short lived super hero Batwoman who was straight. Now they have re-released the character and made her a lesbian. Do you think there actions were appropriate seeing that comic books are predominantly marketed towards children? Do you think their actions were a genuine attempt to help the gay community or simply exploit them for profit? What do you think their motives were? Personally, Batwoman straight or gay just doesn't do it for me and I see it bombing regardless.
