I worship because I love God. He has saved me from a lot. He still saves me from something every day. He directs my path. He teaches me new things.

I also know He will discipline me if I disobey Him. So I have a certain amount of fear there.

I try to do all things as unto the Lord. People don't always appreciate my efforts. It matters more what God thinks because He is my reward. I already have the keys to heaven. Jesus gave them to me. No one can take them away from me.

1.) No, I am not afraid of God's wrath. Only those who are against God, and who deny Jesus Christ need to be afraid of God's wrath. Actually, God "craves" our love. The reason he made us was to love and serve Him. Reassurances from God are plentiful throughout the Scriptures. Peter writes, "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7)."

But the greatest statement of God's concern and care for you is found in the sacrifice of His Son on the cross for your sins (John 3:16). You should never doubt that God loves you and cares for you. His direction to you in the midst of fearful and terrifying circumstances will always be, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. -
Isaiah 41:10.

2.) You can't earn your way into the Kingdom of God. There is nothing you could do that would possibly come close to being worthy of the gift of salvation. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is THE GIFT OF GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

honestly it is because I am an alien in this world, I don't mean that to be wierd, I am Christian and I am simply called. I will feel at home when Jesus returns. I do not fear him in a bad way, I fear being without him. like you would with a loved one. I am saved by grace, I do the best I can everyday and do not beat myself up when I mess up because I am forgiven if I only ask. I mess up and don't think about it till later sometimes. I simply ask for forgiveness.
God Bless

I worship my God because of His goodness to me. When I think of all that I have been through and all the things I have done and yet He loves me and blesses me each day, how can I not love Him.? He sent His Son to take my place and pay the price for all my sins, then and now. Yes, I try to please God in my daily life by trying to do what pleases Him, not because I fear hell, but out of love and gratitude to Him.

Our Love & Appreciation motivates us to worship & praise GOD!....and since GOD is Love and those who receives Him are Spiritually Born in His Love, it's very easy to Love Him back!.....(1 John 4: 7-11).....therefore, it is an honor for us to praise & worship GOD!......in response to question number 2 the answer is no, our Love is real!......in order for unbelievers to really understand what that Love is all about, they would actually have to be Born Again (Spiritually)...(John 3: 3).....

I worship God and his son Jesus because I love them. I don't fear his wrath and he already showed me that he loved me when he died and rose again. I don't work hard to please God to go to heaven and stay out of hell it doesn't work that way. We are saved by grace not by works, and the only way to enter heaven is to be saved. I try to please God and his son Jesus because I love them and they first loved me.

Maybe it's neither...maybe on a cold stormy night, with no light to keep the shadows away, no friend to make you laugh, no Shelby GT 500 Mustang to ride around the block, no rich ex-husband to pick up alimony from, no president to bash, no flag to burn, no Yahoo! Answers to consume your life, or no sexy model to sleep with, it's better to believe in something (even if it's unreal) than nothing at all.
