It is tempting to say that no, some people are too lazy to maximize their lives - but honestly, I think we all come here for very specific reasons and that we are all doing exactly right for the lesson we have come here to learn. Those who seem to not strive for money are here for something else. Those who are not godly are not working on that in themselves at this time, etc.
With so many people and so many different walks of life, it is really just too hard to tell.

Some people are satisfied with less. Don't assume they're not happy though.
