Because God created Satan. So, God has more power and influence than Satan ever will.

Another view is, if the all-knowing God knew that Satan was going to fall from grace and create all the evil that surrounds humanity, then God is to blame for the evil because he created Satan.

Because it's easier to blame God for a lot of people. They may try to back it up with something like "If God is so good, why do bad things happen?", but they forget about free will as well. God could've made us robotic and automatically love him, but that kind of love is shallow.

Now, those who struggle through life, and despite their hardships, still love God, that's the kind of love that we should be expressing. It's just that it's a lot easier to blame God for all the bad things in our life.

You should read the book of Job, which pretty much covers this question. God lets Satan do all sorts of things to Job, yet he refuses to deny God (cause Satan tells God that Job only loves Him because God gave him "a good life").

Cause it is easier to blame God than it is to blame Satan. Most people don't have a true understanding of God's nature. Read the book

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

When it comes down to it, nothing in God world happens by mistake, if you read the book of Job in the Bible, Satan had to ask God for permission to tempt and screw with Job, Satan is the great temptor, and in actually as he was God's favorite angel, he is perceived to be beautiful, as an angel, however, he does tempt us and tries to lead us into sin, however God gave us free will to choose what we do and if we give into temptation

Because Satan is their mentor, abettor and accomplice. They feel threatened by God. No need. God is the very embodiment of compassion. Just repudiating Evil and taking sides with the forces of the Good will earn them all the Grace that they need.

Hurricanes, winning the lottery, getting a fatal disease, finding a long lost family member, church collapsing during a service killing all inside, all comes from the same place, up above. That is if you believe in God.

"Wait God loves us, this doesn't make sense, so let's make another person up, use some pagan symbols, and blame it all on him.

Also some people believe that God told them to kill people and cut their heads off and there is a whole religion that is based on that principal. No kidding !

There is no personal responsiblity anymore, its everyone elses fault these days. If God could be sued, he would be. Its a shame too.
