A. There is constant conflict between an individual's natual impulsive instincts and societyal constraints.

B. Individuals and society work together in a mutually satisfying sequence of development.

C. Individuals and society are compatible, and our natural impulsive instincts are reflected in societal norms and values.

D. Individuals develop a sense of self in 5 psychosexual stages, beginning with preparatory stage.

E. All of the above.

***Which is correct? I'm racking my brain here searching for the answer. That Freud was some crazy guy. I love his thoughts though.

I need to write a paper for sociology class. Which of the three is the easiest to use? Structural Functionalism, Conflict Theory, or Symbolic Interactionism? I Have to apply on the of the 3 to a job i now hold or have held.

And what is a paradigm?

To this day these seem to be areas of strong conservatism which can be seen in the reaction toward women and (especially) men who do not conform to their prescribed gender rols, and in the ongoing limitation on the rights of Lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Why does this obsession of maintaining the 'status quo' persist, when freeing society up around LGBTI issues does not limit the rights of anyone?

I'm realatively new to this, but I have noted some really snide remarks and answers to certain questions.

I am not going to pin point who I am talking about, but it has to do with country of origin...

Ie. If a question is posed to an aussie, it's usually taken with a laugh. But pose it to an american and they will fire back nastily...
