Answer D is somewhat right but the preparatory stage doesn't exist. Answer A and B are opposite answers, therefore All of the above cannot be true. A is a conflict theory point of view, and since Freud belonged to this group of socialogists, A is the correct answer.

P.S. Gonzo A, B, and C represent different trains of thought in sociology (conflict, functionalist, and Symbolic Interactionism) There is no right answer in terms of how society functions because they are all just theories not proven facts.

1) B and C are similar and are both incorrect, because
2) society restrains individuals and sacrifices individual needs and desires in order to assure the wellness of the majority, so A is correct. Finally,
3) D is correct until the part where it says the first psychosexual stage is the preparatory stage. The first stage is the oral one; the other stages are the anal, phallic, latency and genital. There is no such thing as preparatory phase.

So A is the only correct answer.

P.S: das21212, the question says: "ACCORDING TO FREUD", so when I say an option is incorrect or correct, I mean, OBVIOUSLY, according to Freud. Moreover, I never said these were "right answer in terms of how society functions". And, dude, to say that D is "somewhat right" is ambiguous and doesn't hepl the asker. Either it's correct or it's incorrect.

A is correct.

Freud believed we were born with an id, ego, and superego. The id operates on the pleasure principle and is our "impulsive self" the id is in conflict with the superego, which is our values and social morals. Our ego operates on the reality principle to balance out our id and superego.

He believed the id, ego, and superego where manifested in the psycho-sexual stages of development. The 5 psychosexual stages are:

1. The oral stage
2. The anal stage
3. The phallic stage
4. The latent stage
5. The genital stage

A. This one touches on Freuds undertanding of the ID, the EGO, and the SUPEREGO.

The superego controls our natural impulsive tendencies to stay in line with societal constraints for most people.

Freud was correct with a lot of things, and he did provide some valuable insights into the human psyche and human sexuality|

But he was incomplete|

To complete him, we have to include other theorists - Adler, the guy who founded Transactional Analysis, Rogers, Jung - they all had partial insights into the truth - but where the trouble begins is when we think that any one of them has a *complete* theory - thus fracturing the discipline of psychology into competing and mutually antagonistic schools|

You pick; all or none or some at some point in time>>????
Remember Freud was a bit of a pervert and most of histories psychoanalysts and psychiatrists had issues or they wouldn't have been so vigilant in their study of the Psyche. They studied man to find out if they themselves fit in.
