I need to write a paper for sociology class. Which of the three is the easiest to use? Structural Functionalism, Conflict Theory, or Symbolic Interactionism? I Have to apply on the of the 3 to a job i now hold or have held.

And what is a paradigm?

Could you define these terms and give your opions? Thanks!

Ok i would suggest Functionalism which is basicaly saying that society works under a value consensus. Think of society as th human body, each part needs another to function correctly otherwise the structure of the body would break down. In this sense functionalism is sayng all parts of society e.g. religion, family, education etc. are all intrinsically linked to hold society together.

I would suggest you look at Emile Durkheim.

A paradigm i think is something to do with laws and proving cause and effect but im not 100%

hope that helped
