We can say people go to nightclubs to have fun and socialize, but I feel that their is something more. Nightclubs involve immorality and heavy drinking. Usually people who are going through problems in life do these things. Am I right?

I'm black and always found it hard fitting into the black community because I was a shy and quiet girl. I didn't find many shy men and women of color which made me feel weird and different. The majority of black seem loud, proud, bold, say what's on their mind, don't care what people say. I never been that way and wondered if there were a few black shy because there aren't any where I live.

Just an observation. I am not saying that there aren't lots of intelligent questions and answers out there, but why do people blame everything on "immigration" (which usually isn't spelt correctly).....

i hear people alway's use this expersion "colored people" or "people of color" when discribing someone that's not white and all i can say is WTF? white isnt a color? are these peole stupid or what?

I go to a (fun) evening class and next year all the funding is changing It used to work that certain groups of people got money off the fees (unfortunatly not me as I work). Now it has come about that some of these groups have been replaced with other groups IE Incapacity benifit and Disabled Living allowance have been removed (making it that some people who have been going for a long time will have to stop as they can't afford it) and Refugee and asylum Seeker added and that the people on the list get the class free.
would it not be fairer if everone short of money got a %age off.
Have you had any similar experiences.

People in small communities seems to make friends easier and people in big cities seems to get isolated easier, I could never get to any conclusion why that is and would like to have some views on what could be the reason.

I was recently talking to a friend of mine online (I don't know him in real life, but I met him playing a videogame online) and he was telling me about how he doesn't have any real-life friends and that it's hard for him to make friends because he's so self-conscious about how he looks and all that (he's like your standard case of the videogame geek with acne).

Anyway, he went on to tell me more about how he hasn't really done anything with his life after high school, and he's just going to a community college not knowing what he wants to do in life, still living at home with mom, and all sorts of other depressing things. He spends almost all of his time at home in his room playing this online video game and thinks his life is really dreary and that there's no purpose (though I don't know if he is suicidal or not: I hope not) and that he might just sign his life away to the Army to be a part of something and not feel so lonely all the time.

I'm no therapist: what should I tell him?

I don't mean to be rude or descriminate Jehovah's, but I have a question about their religion and the way they are. Do you find it annoying, when you are at home doing something, and a Jehovah witness comes knocking at your door?

How do you react, when you find out they are a Jehovah witness, wanting to give you a religious panphlet? Do you see this as an inconvenience? Should Jehovah witnesses be allowed to do this?

I have been stoped in parking lots, where a Jehovah witness tried to hand me "hand-outs" on their religion. Has this ever happened to you? What is your opinion about it? It seems that they are constantly at us, just to give us "hand-outs on their religion. Is there anything we could do to stop this?
