Tell him there are better countries to immigrate to that have a higher standard of living. Sweden, Finland, Norway, Canada, and Australia for instance. Also right now the UAE is the richest country in the world. USA has tons of problems currently that have no other place to go but a downard spiral.

Without a college education he won't be very successful. And all that crap you here about the United States being perfect...WRONG! Please, America has a lot of issues. If you turn on the news here, it's always negative. Bad stuff happens here all the time. It could be more easier for him to succeed, but he HAS TO HAVE A COLLEGE EDUCATION! Without it his chances of making a lot of money are like 1 in 500,000.

He has this mindset over America probably because of what he sees on T.V.

It is rare, very rare to see poor americans on american shows, they appear rich even though they are just portraying a farmboy, and they all have mobilephones, too.

I myself believe that everyone has a high chance of succeeding in the US, especially if you have talent and if you are industrious. It is not wrong but if your son is still too young to have made that conclusion, explain to him that t also takes a lot to be successful, and it is very rewarding if he does the right things.

You have to recondition his mind that America isn't all about riches though, that there are also people who struggle, who need help.
