a hypnotist came to school and i volunteered. he had me look into his eyes as he told me to relax. when i did, i noticed his eyes were really sparkly and that i couldn't look away, even though i tried to. it was really weird. then he put me to sleep. anyone else ever do this?

I am doing an Applied Social Sciences course and we are due to start doing our dissertation for Honours year.

But I can't think of where to start. How do I narrow down possible options?

I think I might like to do a sociological dissertation, but I am not sure.

I work part time in a university. I spend alot of time with professors and gifted students. I have been asked by many people how I "tolerate their *********". I get along fine with my co-workers for the most part. I do notice they spend alot of time comparing IQ scores and knowledge in different subjects, but I've always assumed that's just their way of challenging themselves. I'm asking, because I've been approached and asked questions similar to this a number of times. On top of that, I'm one of them. I've never been told that I act cocky or conceited in anyway, and that's why I made sure to add the word "some" in my queston. Serious answers only, please.
