I love my family very much but I am outnumbered in my home
3 - 1 (sons and hubby).I just love seeing my mates to talk about something interesting like clothes, shoes and handbags rather than sport, sport and sport - yet some girls say they prefer male company? !

I have friends of both sexes, all of whom are older than myself and I enjoy the company of both, how-ever I find it also depends on my frame of mind and mood to whether I want to be with my male or female friends or a mix. I must admit though that it has surprised me to find that I tend to turn to my male friends for guidance, support and a shoulder to cry on and female friends for a laugh, a night on the town or a giggle.

As I grow older, I tend to enjoy:
1. Time with my daughters
2. Time to myself reading a book or surfing the Internet
3. Time with my husband. Even if he's watching sports or talking about sports. He puts on the act that he's all about sports, but there is SO much more to him then that.
4. As far as other males go- My husband is all the male company I need. Females- The only one I tolerate much of (besides kids, of course!) Is my best friend that I met in grade school. Most of the so-called 'friends' that I have made since starting adulthood end up being two faced b1tches!

Definitely prefer men! As do most of us on here, funny isn't it?! I like a bit of a catch up with my best friend (who I see, oh, once a month) but love a night out with the boys!

Men are practical jokers and I love their humour. Also you can take the mic out of each other whereas women would find it bitchy.

And I cannot be arsed with mindless chit chat about other people or how much your gas bill is each month! Yawn

Take it I wont be seeing any of you girls for a cuppa then lol!

I prefer only male company (friends only) because they can be a lot more fun, not jealous of my accomplishments, truthful about the way I look, can give good advise in relationships etc. Girls always compete (without even realizing that), and could lie to you just to make themselves look better. But this is just my personla experience, I am sure there are great girl friends out there...

Women can get catty at times but I like to hang with my girls. We can watch chick flicks and talk about the guys.

All so, Girls who have bad realtionships with their father prefer to hang around the the male figure to make up for the love that their father didnt give them.

lol that sounds mean but its really true.

Oh also I dont like hanging out with male and female at the same time. Only because eveyone gets horney and just wants to make out etc... so Id rather be with all guys or all girls.
unless the guys were gay...or the girls were lezbo....then I could hang out with both at same time.

Both, actually. But I would say I'm more of a man's woman. I balance my feminine and masculine sides quite well - I love clothes, et al, but I can also drink some guys under the table and be a rowdy sports fan. I like women who are the same.

Yes, i'd perfer female company, but remind you that are gonna be the same ones letting everyone know your buisness, and when they do, you guys get into a fight and not talk to eachother for 3-10 yrs, male yes, they are bteer, yes they are all boyish, and care for nothing like girly stuff, but at least they don't kiss and tell, or have sex and tell or talk then tell, they keep it to their selves, especially it's cool to be friends with gay men..

So Male Company alllllll the wayyyyyy

PS: Females keep grudges, males don't

I prefer male company. I have never considered myself the "girlie-girl" type and don't share many common interests with my female peers. The male "point of view" fascinates me to no end so naturally I am more willing to hang out with the guys.

I always prefer male company to females (except, of course for my children's company--which I love equally). Men are basically my best friends--even those I have not seen in years. Women, on the other hand, tend to gossip and talk crap that I just don't want to hear.

Either it doesn't matter. However sometimes it depends on my mood and the situation because there are times when I would rather hang out with my guy friends and there are other times when you just want to see your female friends and just have a good laugh
