I agree, it depends on the party. If it's just a bunch of people haning out and having a good time, watching movies or bowling or having a potluck or anything really then it's definatly benificial to go and socialise and have a good time. If on the other hand it's a bunch of drunken pot smoking people or worse, then your much better off staying home. Taking care of yourself and caring about your education is much better then being cool. it may not seem like it at the time, but it definatly is in the long run.

It's not bad to have a party at all. That is a part of growing up. However, you do need to know that you should play it safe at all times. That's whether you are throwing a party or attending one. Always make sure you have "reliable" friends around, someone who can help look after you just in case you fall victim to any vulnerability, such as drunk driving, date rape, violence, etc.

My advice to you is to go out and have fun at parties, within reason and within your own standards - assuming you have some. If you stay home you will not develop patterns of social interaction that you need to function in our society. However, you need a good set of moral standards and a strict sense of right and wrong.

Its all about balance. Cant stay home all time, and you cant party all the time either. Try seting up a reward system, for everytime you accomplish something worthwhile, treat yourself the a night out.

Depends on if the party if clean or whether its yet another rap-infested whore-house.
Don't you want to leave the party feeling a little good about yourself?

Nothing is wrong with a party every weekend provided it's safe with no guns, drugs and booze.
