The increase in female criminality is caused by the fact that women now know they can do whatever they want. Theyre more free spirited. And the fact that they can't always rely on a man these days to take care of them.

Of course not silly. I do not believe for a second that just because a woman works a full time job, raises 3 kids, and has a car payment, (basically being a bread winner) that , that could be causing female criminal pop. to go up. Women have been working very hard for centuries, just because they are more independant about it now, doesnt explain any reason as to why they would break the law. Just wanted to let ya know hun. xoxo god bless.

I'd be a little wary of stats that report an increase in criminal activity among females. Are the figures per capita? Because otherwise it would make sense that we'd have more female criminals than we did 30 years ago for the simple fact that we have a couple billion more people on the planet than we did 30 years ago.

The so called increase in female criminality was " much ado about nothing ". The numbers were not nearly as large as the media trumpeting of them. Another social science finding that really was not a finding at all. The increase was found to be statistically insignificant, across the board.

Yes in the fact that women are gaining more power and are displaying the aggressive behavior seen.
No, the fact that more reports and women are now convicted could also give rise to numbers.
In 2000 rape calls went to 4 time the calls as of 1960. Society changed, technology changed and definitions of rape has changed. Only an example.

I didn't know there was an increase in female criminality, but I could see where a correlation could definitely exist.
