In California it is free for homeless/poor but there is a waiting period, which could be months. This is very unfortunate because when a person is finally ready to go to rehab, they should have a place to go. When a bed is available, the addict may have changed his/her mind.

To the homeless where I live it is. But the taxpayers are footing the bill. And often they go back the the chosen drug, being returned to the streets and no support will only be a temporary job.

No, but they have half way houses, which are volunteers who help the homeless get over their addiction.

It might be but, I don't think so. A person might be able to go to the state for help, I know that some states will pay for people who can't afford it. Or a person might be able to get help with Well-fair.

If it is , that's ridiculous, I'm tired of my tax money going to fix broken people.....stand on your own two feet, ya bums.
