The main thing is the motivation to better themselves. Try telling me an 18 stone dole claimer who has never worked a day in their life is superior over someone like Richard Branson!! Superiority is within rich of everyone who thinks they deserve it.

The idea of superiority is only a state of mind.

Many people feel that having lots of money, power, and status is what makes one superior to another. This also includes racism and sexism.

I ask my students to answer the following: "Are there things in life that make us think we're better or worse than we really are?"

Humans are all equal in rights and dignity, but there are cultural things that make people seem better or worse. People that want to feel superior use things like money, dress, cars, big homes, education, big words in speech, etc. It's usually because they feel inferior from some past experience, so they consciously or sub-consciously strive to compensate, when all they had to do was realize the wrong reaction to whatever made them think they were inferior in the first place.

Bullies and controlling people are cowards on the inside.

Superiority is situational. If you and I played chess you would be superior to me. Most likely because you spent more time than me playing chess. If we played Monopoly I would be superior to you also because I've spent more time playing Monopoly than you. Some people come off superior in everday conversations because they lived a very social life. That doesn't mean they can beat you at chess.

I don't think anyone is superior to anyone else.
We are all people cut from the same cloth so to speak.
Some people just think they are superior for example if they are more clever etc.

with the risk of sounding.. well.. UNdemocratic if you will, we are not all equal, you can't say that. sure it's a nice idea but it will never be applyable; people have different potentials, different levels of intelligence and capabilities. sure we are all equal at birth but from there it's all relative because of the environment you are raised in; you can't tell me you think that you would trust just anyone to make correct political decisions for example (and theoretically if we were all equal any decision is as good as the next one)
it's not fair and people do have the same potential but only some of them really exploit it; i guess perspective and yes intelligence would show the potential of someone is being used

we come into this world the same and we all leave the same but during the lifetime some folk are successful and others are not some folk are super intelligent and others are non starters but the feeling of superiority is all in the mind but that's OK as long as its not acted out

I don't think anyone is superior over another. It's the way other's see them as being superior. Perhaps if no one saw them that way they wouldn't be.
