Hi all

There's a really popular inventory used to measure stress levels. The name completely escapes me... Any ideas?

think I was as pleased with anyone as I am with him. I see him about two times a week. However, over the last year or so, I noticed that every time I pay him or pay his fees, his hands would rub against mine. Guys, I know it can be avoided. I have this exchange with people all the time, giving or taking something from their hand. But I rarely see anyone touching so much and having the touch linger on. I am just surprised. It cannot be an accident because it happens all the time. I dont want to ask him either. What do you think in going on. Please know that he had been very helpful to me as a counseler. Thank you. I recently heard someone being referred to as having 'Bright Pupil Syndrome' - where they don't work as hard as they should because they know they are smart.
I'm really interested in this, but I cannot find any reference to it anywhere.
It might be an anglicized version of an American term but I've tried searching for 'Best pupil...' 'Top pupil', 'Smart pupil...' etcetra and drawn a blank.
Anyone know any more about it and where I can read up on it?
PS No Lisa Simpson jokes.

I was in a Weis store that looked like a Safeway Grocery Store mixed with the Wal-Mart store. I was
with my mom shopping with my brother and sister. I said I'd be right back. I went to this table that
was a circle. It had stacks of Pop-Tarts on it. i opened it up and took a packet out. I stuck it in
my pocket. I went to the bathroom and I saw a hole in the ceiling, and I thought maybe someone saw
me steal the Pop-Tart. I walked out and a cop grabbed me by the wrist and said I was going to jail.
As I went there I saw a security video of me stealing it and then I spent time in jail.

I keep having a dream of this basis. It's always happening. It happens like this with a few different variations. When I think of the dream while awake, it's nothing. But while sleeping, It's scarier than Hell itself.

I am in a car traveling, (on a highway; through a city; on one street usually a dead end street) as soon as I look in front, I realize no one is driving the car, it's going by itself. I am always in the back right seat. The car is not reckless, as it makes normal turns and stays a steady speed. I become very scared and to escape the car. I can't. I'm literally trapped. I usually wake up after a while. I had another variation of it in the back of a shopping cart, that was backwards going uphill. I can't escape. Please help me decipher this. Oh, and most of this has something to do with my divorced dad, whether it's going to his house in Maryland, or being around his house, with whom I have a very close relationship with.

From your experience, what do you think are the reasons for antagonistic behavior? I'm talking about people in real life who, whenever they get an "audience," have this annoying habit of handing out "put-downs" and slurs as if it's humorous to them.

Or, the people in forums who consistently post just insulting slurs, intended to enrage or bait others.

What is it about their character that drives them to do this? Is something lacking, and if so, what?

I don't know what it is, but it feels like I stopped living when I was 10. I mean it is like you go to the grocery store with a purpose and a task, you gather up all you need, comparing prices, check to make sure all the eggs are unbroken and the bread fresh, but after all that is done you just hang around. That's how I feel, I did all a child could do, but I feel like I stopped living and am just hanging around. What am I missing? What is causing me to stay and not get on with the my life?

How do YOU cope with the fact that not everyone will like you?

I walked to New York from my house in Southern PA. I stopped at one of those New York
studio news things and asked one of the anchors for his autograph. I had no paper so I asked someone
for some and a pen. She said there is some paper in the gift shop, for a penny and that it was the
one with the cent sign on it. I found it but just left. I got farther up and went into a dark alley.
I saw a bunch of punk-styled people. They looked pretty cool. But they just went on their way. I saw
my Aunt Lois there and she looked like old woman with black rags covering a lot of her body and she
was in her house (but she lives in Maryland-???). She asked me if I could help her in her garden and
I said okay and that I would be there in a minute. I went to the bathroom but found one of my
cousins. He wasn't really my cousin but he said he was. I played catch with a beach ball with him
inside Aunt Lois's house. It hit a plant and it fell down and broke, but we forgot about it and went
off. I met Aunt Lois in a greenhouse with her doing her laundry. She and I both forgot about the
garden. I asked her if she had ghosts in her house, and she said yes. I asked her to show me one and
she said something. I think she said come out come out ghost or something like that. A silhouette of
a face came out of the side of the greenhouse. I was totally amazed. I was not scared at all. I was
surprised at how well she could handle her ghosts. I left after she was done with her laundry, and
after I left the greenhouse, and start walking out to the alley, the ghost came out in a
blueish-gray and said "Evan, thanks for being there when I needed you most." That's exactly what he
said. Then I skateboarded back to my house and came back. I pulled into a driveway with my
skateboard, and a car pulled up. It looked like a hearse, but it wasn't. It was 3 people with red
hair and a red beard. One of them was mentally insane. He was in the trunk and thrashing about, with
saliva flying all over the place. Then another car pulled in and Cousin It came out and the dream ended.

"The closer you are to someone, the more likely you are to step on their toes."

I'm thinking it means that, for example, you're more likely to be rude to your best friend than an aquaintance.

If you agree, then why is it that people take anger out on those closest to them?

My husband has the habit of belittling me in front of an audience, with the result I don't want people visiting here anymore. Each time he insults me in front of people it is the last time they are invited. We do not have any people coming around anymore, because I don't encourage it. However, tonight the neighours came for supper and he could not wait to give me 2 digs that were so subtle, only he knows and I know. Obviously the conversation continued without any reaction, but I am fuming. He has to stop this nonsense, the bluddy mysogonist @rshole.

He now blames me for becoming a hermit, but he is the cause of it. He waits till everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves and then he climbs into me!

How do I counter such an attack in future? Don't come with this lovey dovey stuff, I am too upset to fall for this trash. I am totally livid! I want to degrade him to such an extent that he would never in his wildest dreams think of embarrassing or degrading me again!

I think something maybe going on with one of my relative's child and I am concerned. He has an older brother and he has had quite a few episodes of grabbing his brother's "you know what" and pulling on it and laughing. Naturally - this really upsets the older child and the younger is scolded for doing it. The younger child stays with his "Nana and Papa" (grandparents) quite often. One time I guess he was supposed to go there and he was crying hysterically and was telling his Uncle..."Please, please....I don't wanna go to Papa's house...Papa different, Papa tickles me...I don't like when Papa tickles me" then his Mom walked in and he clammed up. Do you think I am being too suspicious or does that seem to signal a red flag? This man "Papa" has even bragged about how when his first wife was in bed dying - he was "pleasuring her with his finger" (how sick is that?) I have taken care of more than 30 kids over the past 15 yrs and I have never seen a kid do that. Serious answers please! Thnx!

If some questions here are full of intentional misspellings, grammatical errors, intentional vulgarity, and just plain foolishness, why would anyone answer them?

Gullible, perhaps .... but why EVER?

p.s. There is a LOT I am not saying here .... I just don't want to be called nasty ....

I have checked some stuff out on http://www.hollowhill.com to try and get rid of the ghost, this is no joke it is seriously haunted. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET RID OF THIS?

seriously when people ask questions unrelated to god they dont want to hear any answers like, try praying, or find jesus. and (drug topics especially) we dont need people judging others' questions by their flawed moral/religious standard. also if you dont have personal experience about something (like drugs) keep your opinion to yourself, for you know nothing of the topic.
