How do YOU cope with the fact that not everyone will like you?

In all walks of life, not everyone will like you. What matters most is what you think of yourself.

Don't respond to those who don't like you because they don't know the real you. Only you do.

If you respond to them, then you are agreeing with them. Only your real friends who stand by you are those who know who the real you is. :-)

When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you shine for the day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that face has to say.

For it isn't your father or mother or wife
Who judgment upon you must pass;
The person's whole verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass?

Some people may think you a straight-shootin' chum
And you're always willing to try,
But that face in the glass says you're only a bum
If you can't look it straight in the eye.

There's the one to please, never mind all the rest
For it's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the one in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the one in the glass!

I personally feel happier when I knows that I'm well liked by others because I try to treat others with respect and kindness. But I know some who no matter how I try to approach them, they just simply don't get along with me for no reason or another. At first I used to get very affected with this and it saddened me still sometimes, but I learned I should not keep my mind occupied with people who don't care about me. I just think about it this way: "When I worry myself right now, are they going to be also worried and concered about how I feel about their behavior toward me?" Of course they will not care and they will be having fun. So why should tire myself with thinking about them? I So the best is to just ignore them, and as long as I know I didn't hurt anyone, I should sleep fine! :-)

I simply cope with it for the reason that I do not necessarily like everybody either. That is my attitude. I choose to ignore the people I don't impress. What you see is what you get. I rest my case.

Being a God-fearing woman, I revel in the fact that He loves me no matter what (thru all my junk). But it has always been hard for me to accept that some people don't like me. The older you get the easier it is (not to worry about it).

I realize that I don't like everybody either, and sometimes people just rub each other the wrong way for no real obvious reason, and sometimes for very obvious reasons.
Everyone is different...it doesn't really concern me that someone might not like me.

I've not much thought about it. Most people don't like me and I seem oblivious to it.So would that be a way of coping? To thy own self be true...

Well, I do not want everyone to like me....there are some really sick pervs out there whom I do not need approval from. As long as I'm happy with me and the people I love are ok with me....life is great.

Cope? No, no, no.... I simply don't care. And I know that some people don't even deserve to like me so I make sure they don't.

everyone is this world is different. Their taste is different and the have certain things that are likeable and not likeable in their eyes. Search for ur own individuality and do not blindly morph urself into different unrecongnizeable forms.

I haven't run into that problem yet, however if there was someone who didn't like me, I'd just have to believe that it is their loss for not having such an awesome person as part of their life. Other that that, if it's someone I don't deal with on a daily basis, who cares? (= WTF)
