It seems like there are two types of brilliant people out there: the dreamers and the realists.

The realists can perfect tasks by being given a set of criteria to work toward. They look at things objectively, and tend to look for 'correct' solutions according to others' invented guidelines. The dreamers come up with the criteria. They follow no guidelines but their emotions, and are less concerned with pleasing others.

Maybe I'm biased here, but it seems like a dreamer can easily espouse realist attributes by forcing an external view on their actions- ie "what would other people think of this?"

But what can a realist do to become more emotion-driven? Besides abuse recreational drugs.

i suffer with borderline personality disorder. i await assesment for therapy. i live alone in my own small, cooped up council flat. i have no social conection or friends. i feel socially cut off and feel its being done on purpous...every attempt at contacting any girl i like on myspace or other dating sites, i get no reponse , im being ignored, socially outcasted, i wanna no why?

My advisor uses SAS, I have never used it. Excel limits amount of variables (columns) so I had to set up multiple excel files (4 to be exact). How could I merge all excel files into one master SAS file and keep the variable names? As of now, I have imported 4 excel files, I want to combine them, while keeping them in order.

I am 16 and i hate not knowing about the future, and i have this life planned for me, but i dont know if it is possible to come true?

IS IT POSSIBLE?

i want to be a doctor that deals with athletic injuries....I want to get married while I am in medical school....Husband is tall, muscular, athletic, loves sports, successful with something......I want to live in California.....I wanted to have 4 or 5 kids....boy names Skylar, Decklin, Micah or Seth.....dont know about girl names......

I've been reading in my child psych book that there is a sort of ceiling for being socially well adjusted and being gifted. They say that most gifted kids do not have social problems, but that those who are extremely gifted with an IQ of like 150-160 or above or who show extreme creative talent have a really hard time with social adjustment. That they often feel isolated from their peer group, unchallegned by their school work and are more likely to have emotional/behavioral problems and be underachivers.

So if you were a gifted child, do you think your gift was also a curse? Do you think you would have been happier or better adjusted if you were normal?

I dreamt about a room full of mattresses. The mattresses had dead bodies in them. All the mattresses were on fire. I was able to pure water on my mattress to extinguish the fire. I was advising other people but they weren't trying to extinguish the fire within their own mattresses. Someone told me she'll take my corpse, and it is okay for me to leave. They will stay where they are.
