A successful life is defined differently between different people. For example, someone whos accompilshes their major goals which were to open up a big business, live in a mansion, retire young, own 10 houses around the world and marry a model then some people would consider it a successful life.
Or man #2 who lived life pay check by pay check raising a beautiful family, living in a small shack and retired when he 75 because he didnt have the financial needs to retire young could of had a successful life. Not because of money, because of his friends, family, things that he did to make him happy.
Money makes the world go round, but it isnt everything.

Success doesn't just fall into your lap. It takes lot of guts and determination to get there. And lots of sweat and tears. And lots of discipline. Therefore, I think that money is definitely a sure sign. However, money cannot buy breeding. Either you have it or your don't. Look at some of the trash celebrities with lots and lots of money. They have the cash but they don't have the success in life which brings happiness and pure joy.

Define successful for a start. Some people who want nothing more in their lives than to be stinking rich would be very successful if they had lots of money. People who don't want that wouldn't be. I'm not sure what a successful life constitutes other than whatever you want it to. I didn't realise life was something you could win or lose at or be successful or not. Why can't people just accept that life is simply to be and people can do whatever they want and not be judged by some weird capitalist model of success?

personally, i dont believe money itself is a sign of a successful life. i could have won a million dollars in the lottery and that doesnt necessarily mean i live a successful life or that its going to end that way. And there could be a man that necessarily doesnt have alot of money but at the same time he could have a happy family and that for some people is living a successful life. so it all depends on your beliefs and how much you care for money.

no (in some ways)...only because money is simply these papers that some people blandly accept has value and the ability to change your life. The unleash these crazy emotions, incite hatred and misconceptions, and much more. I personally think that God has placed money in our life to test our self-worth in this life. I guess most humans are making the mistake of thinking that money defines them. Money draws us away from the true meaning of life for some people. To me a successful is where happiness comes from the meaningful and authentic things in life and bring out the best of us always (not wat u wish or thinks that brings the best). But them again, ur use of money plays some role in success {only if it is used for the betterment of others}

To the materialistic - yes. It is the only sign. To the spiritual, nothing could be further from the truth. But you know there is a balance there, because if you become rich either through hard work or chance- you have an opportunity to help others who are in need. Like Oprah. So to answer, I suppose it would depend on what you do with your money.

Money can be an indication that someone leads an acquisitive life or possesses certain talents, but I don't believe most people consider it a sign of a successful life.
Being happy in your own skin & being valued by family & friends is success to me.

In today's society it seems that money is the yardstick by which success is measured.
I don't believe in that line of thought as I know many people that have a lot of friends, close family members, a decent job, and very little money.
When I observe these friends and watch them interact with others I see a real desire to help their fellow man and a kind and gentle spirit.
I see happiness and contentment.
I see a sense of purpose, meaning and fulfillment in their life.
I see a successful man or woman.

Yes of course it is, when you look for a job or career you look for something that your interested yes, but at the same time your wage (money) plays a big impact.
If you had a choice of doing what your doing now or work for a different company earning a lot more money you would choose the money, money is the most powerful thing in this world.
If you had a choice of 2 cars given to you, a BMW or a Fiat, you would go for the BMW because its worth more in (money) and because of the status it gives out to others in it being worth more (money) and people in the outside world would see you driving that BMW and they would think he/shes has a BMW she must be successful.
When see you people driving Ferrari, Bentleys etc... what do you think?? they have a lot of money, they are obviously successful

money is defo not a sign of a successful life...
no no no.
firstly money may not even come from the person themselves... it might be inherited or 'old money' as they call it or money that runs in the family - that doesnt mean someone is successful if a load of money in constantly on their doorstep!
secondly, you get people, RICH people who can buy watever they want and then they still arent happy. infact quite a few of the most rich and famous people have committed suicide as im sure you are aware. so money can even bring u distaster instead of success because they dont know wat to do with all the money so many start doing drugs or watever. too much messes you up.
a successful life is measured by the amount of love and happiness there is/was. and not just love for family or friends.... love for everyone, even your enemies.
thats wat the success of life is measured by.
