How to merge multiple data sets into one master data set with SAS?

Question

My advisor uses SAS, I have never used it. Excel limits amount of variables (columns) so I had to set up multiple excel files (4 to be exact). How could I merge all excel files into one master SAS file and keep the variable names? As of now, I have imported 4 excel files, I want to combine them, while keeping them in order.

number your columns starting with A1 on the first spreadsheet, then B2 on the second etc etc.

When you do the merge into SAS you will be able to find your variables easily.
