I'm looking for research articles on the relationship between language and cognition, problem solving, theories on how we learn or attention, anyone have any references for any relating to those topics?

I find that 'Mind Tools' is a very useful site.
http://www.mindtools.com/
It covers things like Communication skills, Memory, Decision making, Stress management and other similar things. It has many useful links.
Hope this may be of some help.

As already said by the first answerer your question is very broad!! There are very many theories for each of the topics and so I would suggest you buy a good cognitive psychology textbook and start from there. That will give you a good starting point to go read up on individual theories in more depth.

A good cognitive psychology book to start with would be a book by Eysenck and Keane - Cognitive psychology.

My gosh. You need to narrow your question. It is way too broad to answer. The library is loaded with this information. Look for psychological journals. You can search journals on the computers at the library. You can also search from your home computer if you purchase access.
