meditation would be the best way...find a surreal spot to relax and let your mind vent into the open space. Another thing to get your mind blank would be to write down whatever it is that is hording up mental space...believe me, it feels better to let things go on paper.

Focus on one word, more of a sound, like "ohhm" or something like that. Just try to sit still and when you find your mind wandering, recognize that it's wandering then go back to concentrating on the one word or sound. It takes practice though, so don't get mad if you can't do it the first time.

Mediatation.. it's hard.. start by focusing on one thing then forget about it!
look into empty space the space between an object and your eyes
practice practice practice took me 2 years to master it now i can empty my mind all the time
the hard part for me now is to use it like i use to!

I don't think it is possible to completely vacate but, you can try going on vaction, turning off your phone, going to a spa and like other people said meditating.
