If some questions here are full of intentional misspellings, grammatical errors, intentional vulgarity, and just plain foolishness, why would anyone answer them?

Gullible, perhaps .... but why EVER?

p.s. There is a LOT I am not saying here .... I just don't want to be called nasty ....

Most people are probably only trying to be nice and to console the questioner by making him/her feeling better. I think they are so involved they don't look any deeper.

With the cross section of ages, education, cynicism, panic,
curiousity etc. etc. represented in the forum, I wouldn't take
the time to research or be so presumptuous as to even attempt
to sort the bogus from the real thing. If a bogus question is
answered seriously, the questioner gets his/her laugh and
has successfully used the medium. If a valid answer is given
to a valid question that satisfies the questioner, that individual
has also successfully used the medium.

I'm here to be a blow-hard and exercise my opinion, in answering
your question, I've done just that and have also successfully
used the medium.

Thank-You and God Bless

You've given one answer to your own question but another reason is that some people don't give a stuff about whether a question is 'obviously bogus' or not and if the person asking it thinks they are 'gullible' for answering it! They just want the points for answering. If the asker then awards them even more points for giving the best answer (the best laugh), then this is a bonus!

On that note, thanks for the 2 points!

You mean your avoiding saying that some of us are a thick as two short planks.

Your not wrong there and you can include me in that assumption as well.

I always reply with the same dedicated whether I realise it is a put up job or not it is the way I am.

Though I do tend to string them along if they are being too obvious. Wouldn't do to let them think they are so smart it hurts.

You know that saying about crying woolf once too often well this will happen someday when they are in need of real help and advice they may be in for a shock as may not be taken seriously. But then of course there will always be mugs like me who will always be here for them.

It's not always obvious. Just because someone doesn't know how to spell, and isn't good at grammar, doesn't mean they haven't a genuine problem. Taking people at face value might be a bit naive, but I think I'd prefer to be called that than cynical!

TWO reasons: 1.) for points, obviously! and 2.) for most of us, answering questions here is a diversion, a use for time otherwise spent playing solitaire or something. Don't immediately write everyone off as gullible. Oh, by the way... you're nasty!

I steer clear of them questions.I will answer ones that have spelling mistakes. If I can understand what there asking then I do not think spelling is such a big deal.

Because they like to be more bogus then the question itself and its just alot of nasty fun. Doncha know?

Because the questions are getting so boring and stupid you need to answer to get points, theres not a lot of choice unless you pack it all in.

most people don't check their spelling for one thing, maybe they just want to get the question out without checking the content first.

why ignore a pretty decent question just because there are faults.

anyway why are you reading it all if you think they are so bogus.

and for the points
