House Hauntings?

My mammaws house is haunted! I am not joking, everytime I stay there I hear foot steps, doors open and shut, lights go on and off by theirself, and other stuff, when you go to sleep, everyone frequently wakes up because of noises, and you sometimes feel something touch you! I have checked some stuff out on http://www.hollowhill.com to try and get rid of the ghost, this is no joke it is seriously haunted. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET RID OF THIS?

Someone told me a long time ago, that if I ever saw or felt a spirit around me, always ask in the name of the Lord what they want or need... if it's an evil presence, it will make them go away; if it's not, and they need to make themselves known to you, they will.

Maybe you shouldn't try to get rid of it, they were probably there first and might be wondering how to get rid of YOU! ;) In any case, just accept it and enjoy the company until the time is right for them to move along.

I believe you. :-) When I was still in university, I'd been in a building which was believed to be built over and old native burial ground. We had loads of spirits roaming around our apartments, townhouses, etc. We all, in the building, talked about it. Even the skeptics who refused to believe, we re-educated by the spirits and in fact finally believed us.

Oh yeah, and another thing? After university, i married, and my husband, who was the biggest skeptic, saw a few of them too.

Also, he still seems to need reaffirmations that they do roam the earth. One day while driving from Toronto to Thunderbay he was listening to the radio. On there was a talk show. It was about spirits. Some of the doctors from one of the large hospitals in Toronto were calling in, this is true, and saying sometimes on operating tables... when an operation fails, and the patient passes on, these doctors have actually seen some of the spirits leaving the bodies of those who've passed on.

It's becoming more and more commonplace for people to believe in the afterlife now more than ever. There are some cultures who have believed it from the beginning of time.

A way to help them move on? Just talk to them. They may not know they've passed, that is why they still roam the earth. Tell them that you don't know when they left their bodies, or who they are, but they've been with the nonliving for some time and that it's time for them to move on to the afterlife. Pray for them if you must. Or if you're afraid to pray for them yourself, get some kind of shamans, believers, or sorts to come in to do the talking and praying for you.

If you feel the spirits touching you, just talk to them. :-) They're not scary really. If they refuse to leave, hire a psychic or something to come in to talk with them. They may be trying to communicate with you about something. Or you can simply ask them to tell you in a dream what they want you to know.

When I thought our place was haunted by an unwanted visitor, I went through with a burning (smoking) stick of sage and that seemed to clear the air of evils. (Never had a problem after that!)

Try ghost hunters I hear they are good and your house gets to be on TV

Have they ever tried to hurt you? They could be trapped and not know they are dead. Just tell them who you are and that you live there now. And that it is OK to move on. If you can hear them they can here you. Communicate with them. And let them know they aren't welcome there.Tell them that there family is waiting for them and they need to move on.

when you see the ghost you can telll him "could you please go away you scare me?!" He will move to a different house and haunt other people!
