I've lived my whole life with this problem and the only answer I've been able to come up with is to become more agressive myself, at least at the necessary time. I resent the fact that I'm forced to be something I'm not in order to cope, but it's the only way I've found. I guess you could also hire an aggressive person to live your life for you . . . .

Ignore them. Everybody hates being ignored, it brings one to a place of self examination. Only be sure you are not the cause of the aggression.

Ignore them and make them look stupid, laugh when people get mad at you, having that attitude will make people die trying to be like you, and be around you. Also make people want to hurt you but if there that much of a muscle head, you will stand superior
