Can't they debate the issues without resorting to gutter language?

I just responded to a question and was reminded of the repeated claims of physically attractive women getting promoted to higher positions and getting more pay. This makes sense for a job at Hooters, but how many think this is a reality in the professional business world?

Here is the original question that included the claim:

Hooha is Not a real word. Vagina and vulva are. They are not bad words. Do you Really want your children to think that they are?

oh yeah and using the 5 letter word for cat is for real for real not cool unless you are talking about a cat.

Do you ever sense as society(both men and woman), we now have an extremely warped sense of entitlement...we want everything, but with very little work. Careers are now based on the "fun-factor"(another reason our middle-class is going 86, since grad's coming out of school are finding their phoo-phoo degree's are worthless).

I guess 'Thou shall not steal' is a one-way street, in our "progressive" society. It's OK if I steal, just DON'T steal from me...does that work for you?

Don’t women realize the difference between a MAN that sleeps around versus a WOMAN that sleeps around? Women complain about the “double standard” of men being called a “stud” while women get called a “wh*re” for the same behavior. But there is a HUGE difference in a man’s ability to get laid than a woman’s. The standard is different because the level of difficulty is different. Don’t women realize that it is DIFFICULT for men to get a woman to have sex?

Maybe women just don’t realize how easily they could get sex if they wanted. If you are a woman and are at least averagely-decent looking… Trust me, most guys that look at you would sleep with you if given the chance (and if they’re single OR willing to cheat).

And maybe women just don’t consider the man’s perspective of how it is such a difficult task to actually get sex from a woman.

Women, what do you think?

For example, some feminists still complain about equal pay despite the fact that it is ILLEGAL to pay a person less because of that person's gender.

Why do feminists who cannot answer a question resort to name-calling (like "troll") or other abusiveness?

I have noticed many, many women stating that carrying/having a baby is the greatest thing about being a woman. Many women act as if having a baby is the greatest accomplishment in their lives.

Why is this? There are many satisfied, successful women who are childless. If you did not have children, then what would be the biggest achievement of your lives?

deceptions and let us not forget the wrongnesses spiced with lies and even when the wrongnesses become obvious the attempts to uphold them with deceptions.
That raises the question, were feminists right on anything at all ? If yes what were they right on ?

I mean come on... In the beginning there were no written laws yet to this day we do not have equal rights. HELLO! Somewhere along the line someone probably realised that it was against commonsense to have equal rights for both men and women?

"The feminist model of the world is not accurate. It is simply a modern-day religion. People subscribe to it in the same way that they subscribe to religion. It gives them the some kind of psychological rewards: reduction of uncertainty; an in-group to belong to; a moral compass to guide them; a feeling of importance, structure and meaning in their lives. They are on a mission to save the world, a moral crusade. It makes them feel comfortable, and superior to other people."

I noticed that a number of the powerful and successful women in my field commonly have affairs with equally authoritative men whether married or not. Why the phenomenon?

OK get ready for controversy! I believe women have woken up to the fact that the chances are they will be alone and unwed, and therefore will have to work for a living. Whilst I absolutely applaud women being able to earn as much as men, and therefore keep their dignity, it has meant that men have lost theirs because they no longer feel they can provide for a woman and family.

As a result the country is full of 30-year old childless women longing to meet a guy who earns significantly more than them so that they can settle down, but they can't. Women are attracted to strong men who can provide security for their children, but, because men are no longer earning substantially more than them, they are having a hard time of it. This is the one failure of feminism, and both sexes are suffering as a result. Thoughts anyone?

Why do gender based feminist have difficulties with give&take and or compromise ?

2007-10-07 19:48:46 · 9 answers · asked by Anonymous

I believe that freedom and justice for all says it all.

So there are many causes and issues that I care about that are related.. I am basically interested in human rights and social justice and ecology and environmental protection. But you probably can say the same :)

mmmm...but I have to say that I have not Done much so far. I volunteer at an animal shelter and foster new kittens untill they are old enough to be weaned and be adopted. I volunteered for e-waste collections and computer recycling and reuse. I want to do more..

How about you? What causes and issues are you interested in and are close to you? What are you involved in? :)

What is the point of trolling here or trying to engage in sensible discussion? Why subject yourself to the soul-destroying environment of sanctimonious, condescending, hypocritical women? And why behave even worse than they do, whether you're kidding or not? All you do is fuel their paranoid ideology. You don't accomplish anything but that as far as I can see. Why not just leave these women alone, especially since many of them, rightly or wrongly, believe that this is a forum for women and feel you're invading? Why not just respect that and go?

Now back in the olden days, where there were many fatalities in childbirth, I could respect women for their strength to survive childbirth.

But nowadays, you women are in hospitals with all kinds of pain-killing medicine. You could even have a C-section if the baby's too big, which is painfree because they numb the nerves. Modern women are wimps compared to the mothers of old.

In my friends' college, fraternity printed a newspaper, listing by name the women that the fraternity members had slept with at a wild drunken party. The newspaper also contained information about some of the sexual encounters with these women. When this newsletter somehow got out of the fraternity house, several of the women on the list filed a sexual harassment suit (internal to the university) against the fraternity. They thought that being sandwiched by two drunk frat guys was the right thing to do, but publishing the newspaper was wrong!

So feminists, if you support sexual liberation and think women are allowed to do whatever they want, why be so ashamed? Is it because deep down everybody still knows right from wrong? What do you think?
