What is the point of trolling here or trying to engage in sensible discussion? Why subject yourself to the soul-destroying environment of sanctimonious, condescending, hypocritical women? And why behave even worse than they do, whether you're kidding or not? All you do is fuel their paranoid ideology. You don't accomplish anything but that as far as I can see. Why not just leave these women alone, especially since many of them, rightly or wrongly, believe that this is a forum for women and feel you're invading? Why not just respect that and go?

Yeah, calling them sanctimonious, condescending, and hypocritical and well as soul-destroying is sure to impress them. I am such a suck up to feminists!

I'll still be here to answer question like the one where I pointed a reader to Chesler's "Women and Madness" for research on psychotherapy and it's discrimination against women. But as far as opinions, mine aren't welcome and neither are yours, guys.

I was just adapting to the style of the local discourse, bluestar. Women gives lots of thumbs up to references to "the man here" and to men all being this way and that, and apparently guys who don't think it applies to them should just disregard it. I assumed women capable of the same.

Guns, it's NOW called GENDER and women's studies, but apparently it wasn't always and this was, according to many a result of men invading and complaining. Why bother?

Know why the vast majority of men posting here are trolls? Because no intelligent, thoughtful man would waste his time here, unless he was stuck at home with a painful illness and trying to distract himself like I've been.

Dear Gnu :),
This isn't a forum just for women, and if men weren't welcome here and they left, then women will have nothing to learn.
It cannot all be about 'women', if it was, that'd be a very narrow-minded view if women expected it to be such. There needs to be balance and we need the insight of men in order to learn how to resolves issues and our differences.
For myself, despite some of the outright angry and derogatory posts by a few men, I will admit that once I got over my feelings and tried to see it from their point of view, that maybe there really is something that I can learn and so far I've learnt that while for some men, they will always see themselves as superior and won't compromise on any issues at all, there are some that are trying to reach out but just don't want to lose face. Why not give guys a chance? Women need to listen more and try to understand, men have tried it so many times with us, and they are getting more frustrated.

I don't always agree with you. I think there are men who enjoy the friendly banter and also some challenging questions when asked around here. I truly wish it would simply change to "Gender" studies but Y/A seems to be having it's sadistic appetite quenched by allowing it to continue as it is. I leave and go elsewhere for awhile and then come back hoping to find some intelligence afoot in the questions. I really get a laugh many times at the silly banter. The hateful questions I ignore. Today seems quite toxic here. It's hard to try when there are so few good questions anymore. I am sorry for all of us both men and women who would like to have more fun and challenges in this section. My point, I do understand.

I can only answer one part of your question and that is I come here because there doesn't seem to be any other place to get thoughtful or interesting questions and answers around men's issues. Do you know of any other place to ask and answer such questions? I used to go to Men's Health, but I got tired of answering questions about penis size. I actually never asked or answered a question here until it became G and WS. Even though it can get contentious, I still feel like I get interesting food for thought here. As far as trolling - I absolutely agree with you.

Gnu Sense - You are being FAR too hard on yourself and your thoughtful and intelligent responses on this forum have certainly not gone unnoticed. I believe you have been making a valuable contribution to common sensical debate so ease up! You ARE making a difference. A lot of us are trying to raise the level of debate here. Stay and fight the good fight.
Okay, there's a lot of dross here. Men who are apparently obsessed with their own penises and who think they are God's gift. Yes, and men who really do hate women for being women. Women who think they are the bee's knees and fervently believe that they are a kind of superior race. Women who have been taught to hate men for being men and who call men trolls for no good reason except that it makes them feel good. As so it goes on and it is all twaddle, we know that.
But if you are intent on departing from this forum consider contributing to the equalist movement or to the men's rights movement.
You are welcome to email me.

When a person speaks of their opinion, especially alot of the men, as many do on this forum they are not trolling. I believe feminist use the word trolling in order to squash down any other ideas besides their own, especially of that of men.. Understand that those women are in pain; a pain they brought onto themselves. They should've realized from the start when they had this little plan of theirs it would meet with resistance; all plans do; it's the way things work, yet in their high and mighty ways they did not see this. It is their fault they have themselves to blame..

I've read some of the male responses.
They all need to chill out and relax and stop making up dramas that aren't there.
I get laid alot and I think the reason why is because I got a sense of humor.
These men are fighting an imaginary beast.
Get some sun and fun and chiiiiillllllll.

I think sensible discussion is quite possible if one ignores the extreme ends from both sides. Trolling is quite pointless, as is just general offensiveness, which can be seen from the "anti-feminist" and the "feminist" camps. I use those terms loosely only because I feel that there is a dearth of people on this forum that actually understand the ideology that they link themselves to.You are right, reacting in this manner proves nothing and changes no minds.
I dont want you to go!
I like your opinions! I welcome them! please dont leave.

We aren't trolling, we're just pointing out the hypocrisy of feminism. The feminist can't handle, facts, logics and truth, so they label us Men as "troll".
And mean no offense, but, can you read? This isn't a women only section. It's a GENDER and women studies section. Us Men have every rights to be here. Don't like it? Tough..
