How would you design a study to address these questions? Include in your response your hypothesis, experimental design, and your projected outcomes. What limitations can you expect from your research design?

Seriously, I think that we're all put on this earth for a reason. We all have a purpose, a mission of sorts. Do you know what yours is? As for me, I'm still searching, but I know that I'm supposed to help others in some way. I try to do that, but I know that I'm not doing nearly enough. What about you?

Okay... so here's the lowdown. I'm seriously afraid of being fat, even though everyone tells me i'm like way too skinny. i weigh about 100 lbs and i'm 5'8" and i'm 14.75 yrs old. people tell me i have borderline anorexia, but i'm not sure... i just wanted to know. and to anyone that's reading this and has read my last post, i got worse since then, then got a little better, then got worse again. i feel so disgusting after i eat. like i wish i could go throw it all up. i do 100 sit ups at least every night. plus there's pressure from track and volleyball to be thin. i just need to know what's wrong with me.

According to my Mom, I never did, but I loved the pacifier. My son (4 months) just started sucking his thumb (he doesn't like pacifiers at all). Is thumb sucking connected to any kind of emotional expression? Will he stop on his own in time? Just wondering...

Is there something (perhaps a goal) in your life that always eludes you, no matter how hard to strive to reach it? If so, what is it and do you ever think that you'll be able to achieve it?

I want to know how to let go of the what if's and what could have been's. I can;t stop comparing myself to others rather good or bad. This has been a tough year so far. I hope things get better

i know that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but lets face it...there are some people that are just more physically appealing than others according to a majority. So do ugly people know that they are ugly deep down inside? And do beautiful people all know that they are beautiful...i mean, appearance really does affect how you are treated through life to some extent...do these ugly people and beautiful people notice these things?

What to do if they have a really over bearing personality. They are the type of person who pounds their fist and says "no that's wrong." They put on airs make quotes(only you have to explain to them that is not what that information means) these type of people like to say 'duh' at the end of their statements as if that makes it a FACT. Likewise, they like 'pop phases/ slogans/adages/axioms' as a resposne. What do you do when confronted with a person who you know is incorrect, yet they insist on mocking you?

I try to correct them subtlely by saying "yeah its like you said," then repeat what they have said, but with the added corrections. Only they don't get it.
Also, I have tried to ignore them, but oddly enough these folks are the most vocal!

do you know the leading cause of death for pregnant women is murder?
and homicide is in the top 5 leading causes of death for young women in general (2nd for those aged 20-24)?
33% of all women murdered were killed by an intimate partner.

any insights? further information?

[btw, i know that men get killed too, but statistically, homicide is much further down on the list for men in general (except young african american men)]

thank you for your thoughtful & respectful answers.

Real GDP growth on an annual basis is the nominal GDP growth rate adjusted for inflation and expressed as a percentage. PPP is the method of using the long-run equilibrium exchange rate of two currencies to equalize the currencies' purchasing power.

I'm not sure if these are the same thing. Can someone with some econ. experience help me?
