This question has been asked one-hundred times, but how does one get over regrets, move on and continue to enjoy life. I would like someone who is older to answer this question around 45-65, I'm 30 . I want to know how to let go of the what if's and what could have been's. I can;t stop comparing myself to others rather good or bad. This has been a tough year so far. I hope things get better

I'm not older,I'm your age,but here's my two cents worth. I have been through A lot of drama, and this is what I learned...if you are regretting something you did that hurt someone or was wrong, ask for forgiveness from them,God and yourself. If you are wondering what if...realize that as much of a cliche as it is, everything does happen for a reason. Two failed marriages (one my fault, one not) and I'm finally where I need to be and with the love of my life. Have faith and see the good in the bad. You go through things so you can learn from them and do better. It will all work out if you stay positive and patient. Good luck. Remember you can't go back,so look forward.

Hey, Doubletree,
I'm not 45-65, but I think that I can offer you some advice.
My advice is to simply, get over it! You have to remember that every single minute that you spend thinking about your regrets, just adds to the time and space that they "take" from your life. So, say your prayers and tell God that you are ready to "release" these regrets and work on a positive future. Like the Nike commercials say, Just do it. Good luck to you today and always.

Well I guess some things you should just let go, which I admit isn't very useful. It's like..carpe diem. You just gotta take risks and regret them when you're a senile old person (no offense heh maybe we'll all turn into one).

What you've done, successes, failures, mistakes, make you who you are.Your history, knowledge, and experience makes you unique. If you truly have regrets,do whatever is in your power to correct them. Then hold your head up and be proud of who you are.Regrets are useless
