When you meet a person for the first time What do you notice first?

What do you pay attention to? What is it that creates the "the first imression" of somebody?

Their personality. You can get the impression of someone from the other side of the room after 5 minutes. By the time I meet them I already kinda know if I'm gonna hate them or not!

Obviously the physical aspect of it all is what we notice first, so it's usually hair or eyes for me. When they start to talk i usually just notice if they are shy or not, if they can make eye contact while they speak. Simple things, but i try not judge until i truely know the person. (Easier said than done sometimes...Some people just put off a vibe you don't conect with.) :]

the first thing I would like to notice , (I have to notice) how he speaks, movement of the hands, and his attention when I speak , I can know when I ask or talk to someone , the way he communicate with me can indicate if the person is self centred, whether he is a good listener or just nodding his head and looking to his shoes or fixing his clothes, actually I can read the person in front of me immediately,so the first thing I notice is communication, and then comes how he looks like.

A quick glance up and down, preferably before making eye contact (as otherwise it's a bit obvious), to try and get an overall impression of what they're like, then their eyes to get an idea of their personality.

I notice how well kept they are. Whether their clothes are shabby or clean, and their shoes. And if their clothes are well matched. A clean well put together person also boasts of self confidence. I then look at the eyes, as they are the windows to the soul.

The way they look back at me. Are they shy and look away when I first make eye contact, or do they not make eye contact because they could care less and are in their own world. If they do make eye contact, do they stare attentively or do they glare in aggressively. That is what I always notice.

I pay attention to the way they carry themselves, and how they move their eyes, whether they convey hostility or shyness. Some people are intimidating the way they carry themselves but have friendly eyes and trusting ones, thus the impression can be mixed.

I'm not new agey, but I'd say it's their aura. The thing that gives you a feel for someone when you meet them .They can be the most charming person, but you can sense deception or very quiet and you can sense their humour

The first thing I notice is their hair. I am absolutely obessed with hair. Once I start talking to them I notice their personality. If they are friendly or not.
