Girls that are secure and feel good about themselves and so they don't think bein promiscuous and easy is something wrong for them, or insecure girls that feel that they don't have anything better to offer than sex? Which girl would you say would be more likely to have sex the first time she met a guy???

Well, I thought so. I just have serious hang ups...and I'm starting to think it's impossible not to in our sexually messed up society. I just wondered if a girl can actually have good self esteem and be promiscuous.

insecure. It seems to me that too many girls these days are giving it up because they think this is what guys want and its the only way to have an edge over the others.. maybe if I satisfy him in bed, he won't leave me. but the truth is, if a guy is just staying around for the sex, then he doesn't give a crap about the girl he's with. He should want to spend plenty of time with you out of the bedroom.

I would offer a guy my friendship, my love, my free time, and my heart before you offer him your body. Atleast the only disease you can catch from offering your love is a broken heart. Guys who sleep around tend to offer things that most girls don't want i.e. HIV, Chlamydia, babies, herpes, crabs, etc. If the guy is easy.. so are the girls he's been with.

I don't like the way this is phrased. Comparing security and insecurity with "giving it up" doesn't work that simply. Sex is something that individuals view in very different ways. A better question would be, is a secure or insecure girl more likely to have sex based on someone else? Giving it up for one person may be completely different than giving it up for another person, and this is not dictated by security. Essentially, I believe that a secure person is more confident to make a choice they won't regret. An insecure person is less likely to know what they want in the first place, and therefore would probably be more easilly swayed to give it up, or to save it, without considering her own position.

I personally think it's the secure girl who would 'give it up' easier.
Reason:
A secure girl thinks "hey I'm okay with having sex on the first date and I don't care what anyone thinks".

On the other hand, an insecure girl usually overthinks situations (this is part of the reason she's insecure...cuz the thinks too damn much!) and make mistakes then works to correct them. In some cases she continues to make the same mistakes.

Insecure girls definetly are the ones to give it up easier because they're afraid they won't be wanted or loved or noticed if they don't follow through with the desires of a man. Secure girls, on the other hand, have other things on their mind and don't need to go jumping into bed because they know that their personality will keep them hooked.

An insecure woman will have sex for the wrong reasons - to make herself feel wanted, to keep/attract a guy, or even to avoid conflict.

A secure woman will have sex with someone of her choosing, when she is ready. This may be the first date, or it may be after marriage.

In some cases, an insecure woman may have more sex; in some cases, not. Either way, I'm very happy to be a secure woman.

I think that sometimes we may think that a woman is secure but she truly isn't. So, sometimes we see a woman acting promiscuous and she seems to be ok, free, open and that is just what she wants to do but deep inside she is feeling insecure. I don't like labels though. You never know why people do the things they do.

The insecure girl, and she would feel shamed and become even more insecure. Entering into a sexual relationship is a big decision and due to our weird society it can have social implications to the girl. Be very careful. Love yourself and make decisions based upon the love you have for yourself and not the insistence of some guy. And hey, I'm a guy!

it depends on the context. either could. I am very confident and secure and i enjoy casual sex. However, when i was insecure, i would do it but feel like i had to, not like i wanted to. Security and insecurity are definitely not the only factors, but they do matter. they affect how YOU feel about sex and about yourself. That what matters.

For a secure girl, it wouldn't be called "giving it up" but "taking charge of her sexuality".
