This has happend to me just once or twice in my life yet. I was in the mode of about to wake up but all my attempts to wake up failed. I remember, I had my eyes opened, so I could see anything I could even move my eyes both horizontally and vertically but couldn't make any response on the outter area. I was unable to move my arms and legs. Neither my whole body was unable to move although I tried thousands of attempts to do so. I felt like I was trapped in a plaster. Suddenly, I got breathing problems as I couldn't breathe in...in about a few second I got awakened. The whole situation took about a few seconds but I thought it was eternity before I finally "started" all my brain "equipment" up. Apperantly, it has a lot to do with igniting the body from standby mode. Has anyone experienced that?

I did a paper about schizophrenia so I read quite a bit of material. This bit of info never made complete sense and I never got around to asking my professor.
Split mind...
I know it is not a split that equates to multiple personalities.
I think it is a split within the mind or between functions of the mind. The best I can determine is that 'split-mind' refers to a lack of continuity between emotions, intellect, and behavior. Such a split would cause a person with schizophrenia to experience irrational or erratic emotions and behavior due to the lack of regulation of the intellect, and so on. Basically, a person with schizophrenia might think of the right thing to do at a situation, such as show compassion and reverence at a funeral, but may not experience such emotions or be able to behave in such ways because of the 'split.'
Is this wrong? If yes, why/how?

I have never had a dream where I have felt scared nor have I ever woken from a dream feeling scared or anxious. Some of my dreams have included monsters, aliens, once I was about to be executed (for something my brother did - I was pissed off at him for that), I have been in burning buildings etc - but at no time did I ever feel scared. But every one else I know has had at least one nightmare. Is there anyone else out there who dreams like me??

I cannot give a good definition, so I will give examples of what I am talking about.

1. You anticipate what someone is about to say so you begin a response only to realize that it may or may not fit what was actually said to you.

2. You fill in letters that are not there and may not even notice that they are missing, such as when someone has a typo and omits a letter. Example: M*ry had a lit**e *amb. Though this was not a typo, most of us can automatically fill in the missing letters because we are familiar with the nursery rhyme.

I don't need this term for homework help. I am conducting educational research for students with learning disabilities (LD) and want to demonstrate the difficulties many face because their minds don't automatically fill in the blanks like those without learning disabilities. I'm not saying that all LD students have this challenge, but that many do.

Does anyone know of an online dictionary where you enter the definition and get the word?

Some people says that current world's economy system is unfair. In many countries a few rich men take biggest part of the pie, and leave a little for the rest. To make things worse, Governments support them. Some people see them as 'greedy monsters' who make use of others although some also have contributed for charity. Do you agree this? Do you have any solution ideas?
