This has happend to me just once or twice in my life yet. I was in the mode of about to wake up but all my attempts to wake up failed. I remember, I had my eyes opened, so I could see anything I could even move my eyes both horizontally and vertically but couldn't make any response on the outter area. I was unable to move my arms and legs. Neither my whole body was unable to move although I tried thousands of attempts to do so. I felt like I was trapped in a plaster. Suddenly, I got breathing problems as I couldn't breathe in...in about a few second I got awakened. The whole situation took about a few seconds but I thought it was eternity before I finally "started" all my brain "equipment" up. Apperantly, it has a lot to do with igniting the body from standby mode. Has anyone experienced that?

I've had a similar thing happen to me before, it was like right before I woke up but i couldn't open my eyes or anything but i could like sense everything around me and I was telling myself I needed to wake up inside my head, it was like I had my eyes open but they really weren't because when I opened my eyes everything was like I thought it would be. This has happened to me twice in my lifetime, it only lasts for a few seconds though, the last episode was probably about 20 seconds or so.

Several times, it seems that the brain is functioning but the body has been turned off or not responding. I have also noticed in past that I know that I am going to sleep because my hearing shuts off just before I fall a sleep and then comes back on just before waking. There is a pattern that the brain follows telling the body what it should do and not do. Sometimes it seems that it gets it's wires crossed or there is a monentary short circuit.

Science has revealed to us that brain activity reaches its peek during a dream... sometimes when u wake up too quickly and suddenly for any certain reason, ur mind remains in the dream state, and the connection with the rest of your body stays lost for a few seconds. During this time just when u woke up, u can feel and sometimes see what u've been dreaming, but all ur volontary actions are stopped for that slight period.... then everything goes back to normal after few seconds !

No I have not experienced it but I think it warrants a call to your doctor asking about a possible trip to a Sleep Disorder Clinic that can help you with Sleep Paralysis before you die of sleep apnea. Seriously.

many times most people say that when that happens you should be able to see yourself and "your spirit" is out of your body although on most people it stays connected at the toe but not on everyone is it connected there you cant move and you see everything yet your "body" isn't awake

You may have sleep apnea. That is when you quit breathing during sleep. I suggest you go to the doctor & maybe either rule that out or treat it.

I have read about this and it is actually a medical condition. I can't remember what it is called but it is treatable and you really need to go to the doctor.
