The main advantage is the sun's energy at this point in it's stage of life is endlessly abundant. This energy source will not run out any time soon. Unless 5 billion years from now is to soon? Check out www. hubblesite.org/gallery/

The disadvantage is that building solar panels to absorb the sun's energy can be an eye sore. Another disadvantage is when the atmosphere is too cloudy?
Other than that the sun is a great energy source that we've only just started to exploit!

Sun is a renewable source of energy - meaning: we can restock the enrgy we have used - 'harvesting more sunlisght' and the bset part is, that this does not make the Sun lose anything.

Disadvantage though, is that installing equipments to store the energy is expensive. Furthermore, not all parts of the world receive equal amount of sunlight throughout the year. So location matters.

Only advantage, no disadvantage at all. It is space required that matters. If plenty of them arranged in deserts.? Mother Earth will bless humans. We also live longer without any pollution.
