I just want to know why they do it. It makes me feel unattractive when my boyfriend does this - like he appreciates another woman more than me. Should I take it that way or am I overreacting? Sometimes he'll describe a woman as a"cute little thing with blonde hair and blue eyes" or "five feet and maybe 100 pounds". I'm 5'9" and 130 pounds with longish auburn hair and green eyes. I'm not overweight, but I'm not some cute "little" thing either and I feel like I'm being compared. I know that I look good with long legs and a nice shape, but his comments make me feel "less than". Why do men do that? I've also heard "I'd do her". I guess that's a compliment..............

Has anyone here ever thought or felt like they're going to die young? I've often had this thought that I'm not going to live to a ripe old age and that I'm going to die younger than I should. My BF often says that he will too. It kinda freaks me out! I've heard and read that people who feel that they are going to die young usually do. Look at Steve Irwin. He often said he would die young and he did! An old co-worker of mine used to say that; he passed away in a car accident a few years ago. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever felt this way, or knows of someone who often said they would die young, and they have. This isn't just a thought that pops into my head. It's a gut feeling...

I always thought that my mentor would be someone who embodies qualities I would like to have in myself. Therefore, your mentor doesn't even have to be someone you know personally!

Been at my work place for over 8 years. Had a few horrid managers and a couple of bad area managers. The new area manager is evil. She is all nice on the outside, speaks to the staff acts interested. As soon as a member of staff does one thing wrong she takes them to disiplanery action and always gives the most severe action she can give. I entirerlly understand punishment in the work force but i always believed in stages of punishment not always giving the highest possible punishment. Can I complain, will it do any good. Is the woman hell bent on a power rush????

I work for Greggs

Just wondering. I have a very normal life, I have a good job and a loving wife that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I feel like I am hiding things, I feel if people knew they wouldn't want to be around me...I didn't do it but I feel shame.

I grew up in a home filled with violence and an alcoholic father that was abusive beyond belief. We were poor, we moved all the time in rented apartments and homes...I feel shameful for this and I don't know why.

I had fear that I would pass this on to my children. That never happened. I loved them everyday of their lives, they all went to college and are great adults. I love them more than words could ever come close to express. My wife is wonderful, we have never had problems, we are both people of peace, love and comfort. My life is a far cry from what it once was.

anyone else???or just me

Morals as code of values, apparently learned, but from a meta-level existing from birth...why do we need morals? Are morals just an appearance of modern society and human beings? Why this mystic code exists in us? The main question: What is the purpose of morals?

I feel out of my mother, and my brother and sister that I am the only one who has not moved on. He died by accident after a surgery and I feel frozen in time. I become obsessed with him. I make scarpebooks of all his pictures, I have his pictures in a locket. I dream almost everynight about him. The dreams haunt me all day long. In my dreams, he is always trying to communicate, but never speaks. He writes notes or shows me what he is trying trying to say. Althought I never completely understand. And there is always water, I dream of water everynight. Always floods or tidal waves coming at me. I feel so lost and unable to move on. I feel as though I have to memorialize or honor him or everyone will forget. How do I get myself to grieve? How do I live my life and not forget about his?

I'm a guy that reads this area a lot, and despite some absolute sweethearts (baba yaga comes to mind) I do love woman.

I think guys in here need to wake up. Most woman in this forum are not man haters, never mind in the real world. Guys shouldn't change or worry about what some nut job woman's studies professor says or thinks.

Guys, just treat woman right and have fun with them, it's that simple. If you are on a date with a woman and open a door for her and her response is "I can do it myself thank you very much" with an attitude, don't let it get to you, find a few girl.

This is a question about what you love about woman, in a relationship based on respect and equality, where it is not a crime for women to do something nice for her man and vice versa. No power struggles.

Mine
When they say or do something cute.
Holding them close to you
Just spending time with them
When they surprise you with something nice
When they talk about something girly (cloths, shopping, hairstyles ect
