You need to try and stay positive. You are only in your early 20's. You have your whole life to live. i just turned the dreadful 30, and leading up to that everything was great, and then on that day my boyfriend passed away. The worst thing that has ever happed to me in my life, so I understand how you may feel alone. Trust me I know the feeling. You just need to know that there are people out there who love you and you are not alone. Living through the experience that I just have you need to live each day as if it were your last and don't dwell on things that are not important. You deserve better than that.

Being alone--even in a crowd, is a very terrible feeling. You start to think about yourself so much, that you have a hard time reaching out to others, right?

Probably the best thing you can do for yourself is to volunteer at a homeless shelter, or a shelter house for abused women, or be a study mentor for students at risk, or go to a senior services and deliver meals on wheels. These are some specific ideas, but you may think of others.

The first time you step out and ask if you could help out...is a little scary, but venture forth... be bold. This will change your life. You will not only have a whole network of friends who are very caring, but also you will be helping others who have deep struggles. You will be thankful for the little things in your own life. You will not take so much for granted.

You can do it! You will reach out and not be lonely ever again.
Celebrate life by giving of yourself!!

How? by demonstrating to yourself that you can choose and keep friends. The trick in life is that you must give in order to receive.
So if you want to have friends and lovers go out there and be a friend and a lover. And yes you can still discriminate between the desirable and the undesirable human out there.
If all else fails adopt a third world child or a puppy.

I'm 23 and I had this feeling once when I was away from my family and friends, cause because of my job,I travel a lot. It's a hard to be away from the ones u love ,but it also makes u stronger.I learned a very important thing-that no matter where my work leads me,I will never be alone(both mentally and physically) because I will always meet sb new. It's easy to make friends as long as ure open,no matter where u are.

Hey--
I feel the same way and I'm 18. I've had my ups and downs but its always feels like I'll be alone. You know if you just either travel or just go out with soem friends and meet people that could probably help. Usually when I'm out with the girls they kinda figure so they have friends and those friends have friends and you meet ppl better. Iono if that helps...but I hope it does. Know that in life there is someone out there...dont give up hopes. You know that your a good person just keep reminding yourself!

You could join a group of your choice, take walks in the park, be more talkative & U just might come across genuine friends & build from thier. At times our other half just is ent enough. Some may have the job, car, house on the hill & still have that emptyness. We are human & will naturally feal that viod.

It will go away with time...Everyone goes through that feeling around your age. Trust me, twenty years from now when you have two or more kids, you'll be wishing you could get five fricking minutes alone!

don't worry about it. Your young and when you quit looking you will find someone. It happened to me I was married young and had 2 kids, I'm still only 23. After my marriage failed I spent an endless amount of time looking and finally decided it wasn't worth it and quit trying to find someone and eventually it happened. And it was someone I bypassed when my marriage first broke up because he was older and not as cute as i wanted him to be and now hes my everything. It all happened when i quit looking.

I felt like that when I was a little kid. When you mature and grow up and realize there's a whole world of people out there to help and serve, you notice your own worries less.
