I am a big dream nut, I have been analyzing certain dreams since I was in gradeschool. I found Gustavus Hindman Miller's dream dictionary interesting, but since the words were archaic, I needed a dictionary for the dictionary, you'll see what I mean if you look at the book.
I did have two things interpret right out of the book though, I had a dream about a funeral for this girl I was dating, that meant she was getting married, sure enough, she dropped by to break the news to a friend of mine, and essentially to me that she was moving on and getting married.
Also had a dream once about a white kitten, and using the Miller dictionary, it predicted my girlfriend would break up with me, I can't remember the specifics. Essentially with Miller's book, everything that happens in a dream is the opposite of what we download everyday. So, my ex's funeral, became her wedding etc.
Oh yea, just remembered another one, I had a dream I hired my boss one day, and two days later I was fired.
My dream last night was so scary I couldn't remember much about it, just that it involved rooms, and each room had more horrible things than the next with alternating good and bad, one room would have great things in it, the next bad, and things got progressively better/worse.
I know from my many psych classes that rooms, homes, houses, are symbols for your mind. My room dream makes me think I know I have issues in some of my rooms, but I like to close those doors to keep all the dark stuff inside, lucky for you people too, cuz I am a good shot and I fit the profile of nutjob 100%. Heh :)

Last night I dreamt of nothing. Sleep was somewhat evasive. And every dreamscape is personal to you, Based on how your mind represents aspects of your subconscious. You can't have objective meaning to a subjective experience, Meaning it'd be pointless to read up on it. You have to find out what the various events and things in your dream mean to you personally.
And don't ask Freud.. The answer is invariably sex.

Experience and psych study both tell me that while there may be some universal themes, almost every element of a dream is to be interpreted personally.
I've had situations that I knew what they meant by the way they felt, who was involved, and what I was wearing- colors that look bad on me in fearful times....
but those colors would not look bad on everybody.
Also, if I'm a house that's bigger than the one I'm in, that feels un-cozy, whereas to someone else, that might feel rich and successful.
So, it's all hihgly personalized. Almost all.

Usually if its a dream that bothers me alot, I try to find the meaning in a book of dreams that I have. Dreams are usually warnings or messages.

Mine was mind blowingly amazing. It involved my husband. I called him in the morning and told him all about it! I don't have to wonder what it means! Nuff said. ;o)
