I keep having nightmares where I am being attacked by something that I cannot see. Sometimes its a dark shadow of somekind and sometimes a person (rarely). I feel like I can't breath in my dream, too. A funny thing too is that I know that in my dream I'm having the nightmare and I'm trying to wake up and I'm yelling, "wake me up" hoping that I will talk in my sleep and maybe my boyfriend or my daughter hear me and try to wake me up. In some cases, I feel that I did wake up, but then realize that I didn't and that I'm still dreaming. What's up w/this dream? Is there something out there making me have these horrible nightmares?

Why is it that people often find it easier to talk to a friend or stranger rather than the person they have a relationship with? Is it because we don't want to cause unnecissary ripples within the fragile confines of the relationship or is it because people on the opposing end get defensive when their partner starts talking about whats going wrong ... e.g. "i hate that we don't spend quality time together". The person feels its their fault that they don't spend the time together so they put up defensive barriers in the manner of explanations ...

Why also, is it that we feel that friends or strangers understand us better than our partners and hense manogomy presides us when this occurs ...

This question goes out to men and women alike as we all have the same problems and it is not gender specific.

creating wealth or becoming financially independant, the two most common responses seem to be "When I win the lotto" or "Maybe when my rich uncle passes, he will leave me money." or other sayings to that effect? Also very few people talk about building a business or finding a business opportunity where their efforts can compound and duplicate? Why can't people see beyond a job?

How many of you have been sexually abused as a child but never said a word about it at all.

I think most people have been at least once. Because it happened to me 3 times by 3 different people.

I have no where to go, I have treid to leave but no one will house me, Im not battered so cant go into a refuge, and no one can take me a the three children. Their homes are not big enough...phoned the police, but they wouldn't kick him out as it his home too, I asked and forced him to leave but he wont go, so now what do I do.
I stuck in this situation, with a man who lies about everything, drinks excessively, and when you try to talk to him he says "whatever".
What on earth does that mean, its not even gramatical!

In all walks of life humans go with appearance
1. When buying a car you go for the colour and shape coz that's what is attractive to you
2.When buying food you mainly go for the packaging because it looks nice on first glance

is this true in first meeting someone ? without speaking to them you firstly find them attractive, it's what "turned you on" to them. So to say people don't go for looks is a little bit of a fib isn't it ! (?)

My husband and father of my children always lies. Even when he has been caught out he will maintain the lie.
I caught him taking drugs, he lied they were drugd , then he lied that he had more, then he lied about how long he has had them, and now despite, all the evidence he is insistant he never took them...what is worng with men.
Its the constant lying that kills me, as how can i trust someone who never tells the truth. If he can lie about big things then he can lie about small things, How can I get through to him that lying id destroying us.

I was bullied at school and I can tell you that that old saying that go's like this "Stick's'n'Stones can brake my bones but words can never hurt me!" Is about as far from the truth as can be! Words cut deep, they cut to the bone. Words destroy! After I was grown My husband and our sons moved into a nice neighborhood and one house over lived one of my bully's and he had two son's who were worse bullies than he was. I wondered if he bulllied his wife but I was told that no he didn't and that his wife was a bully herself. I am not feeling sorry for myself I am strong now after many years of therapy. All of my Bullies were boys.I'd like to hear from someone who is sorry and that they have not passed this trait to their kids.I expect more meanspirited bulling remarks but I am looking for someone who can say the are sorry they did this as kids.I want to let you know that being bullied does not make one stronger.

Do people lie when they say "I don't remember doing that because I was drunk"?

Because I've been drunk before and there were urges to do stuff but I never did them because I knew I'd remember them.
