it has been said that rhe critical elements of competition are inovation,quality and speed to the market.In the light of technical advance, is this view still sufficient?

the ability to use language correctly is certainly a plus ....
but seriously, the Market is being sub-divided into ever-smaller interest groups, each with unique needs. The more groups you can service with old-fashioned innovation, quality (especially) and speed, the more successful you and your business will be. The essentials never really change....
