I suppose once you perfected the process for making the worlds best single-malts -- that was "all she wrote".
Seriously, I hear of good things coming out of Scottish Universities and research companies all the time, they just fly "under the RADAR" mostly.
Most recently, some kind of computer technology comes to mind but I can't remember the specifics off the top-of-my-head. If I remember it, I'll edit this answer.
