like celebrities always says- just be your self and just follow your dreams- do they really applied that before they become celebrities. and does that applied to regular person?

sure it applies. you need to pick a career that suits your interests, otherwise you'll end up hating every day of your life. it doesn't mean that everybody ought to get to do EXACTLY what they want, but if you follow your nose, eventually you'll be able to find a job that matches your skills and your interests.
