It's true that the Aztec calendar as previously drawn only went up to 2012. They simply didn't have a chance to draw another one. It's also true that there is a cult belief in a catclysmic event in 2012 (just like many once believed about the year 2000). However, it is not true that any cataclysms which may (or more likely NOT) occur in 2012 were caused by or predicted by the Aztec calendar as it is only a method of timekeeping.

YES! but not just because of the Aztecs. The Myans, American Indians, aztecs, and a host of other reliable sources all point to December 21-22, 2012 as the date of a polar reversal that happens approxamitley every 26,000 years like clock work here on earth. Below is a couple of web pages you can look at to see the predictions, good luck SGRS

Well Nostradamus's predictions have always been interpolated after the fact, which in fact makes them post-dictions. Putting that aside though if I had to put my money on it I would say a massive world war over what else - Money! The bottom really falls out of the US dollar which sends the world economy into a tail spin. As people take barrow loads of cash to buy a loaf of bread, mercenary armies who work for the highest bidder rise sparking a massive war made up of many smaller wars. What happens next - god only knows!

No one know the time or the hour. Jesus doesn't even know. Jesus will come in the twinkling of an eye and it'll be a shocker to everyone. Even then the world doesn't end. It is just transformed into a NEW earth. Good luck w/this answer.

Well lets see: 2012 per aztecs. 2027 per nostradamous. 1937 per some religious groups. 1999 per the X2K nuts.

I will just say, better none of us who are supposed to be predictors of such times are never right.

If you are christian, revelation states that NO ONE knows the day or the hour.

Some say it will. What does "coming to an end" mean? I doubt all life on the planet could be wiped out unless we had a major impact from an asteroid.

Mayan calendar, Brainiac! The calendar doesn't say anything, it just is. Ever hear of capital letters? Try them some time.

I seriously doubt it. It was supposed to end in 2006; 2000; 1999 and so on. On the other hand, it might. Be ready; keep your lamps full of oil. Don't be caught sleeping.
