My husband and father of my children always lies. Even when he has been caught out he will maintain the lie.
I caught him taking drugs, he lied they were drugd , then he lied that he had more, then he lied about how long he has had them, and now despite, all the evidence he is insistant he never took them...what is worng with men.
Its the constant lying that kills me, as how can i trust someone who never tells the truth. If he can lie about big things then he can lie about small things, How can I get through to him that lying id destroying us.

Cuz they don't like answering questions.
If you get away with a lie, no problem. If you tell the truth, they'll use it as grounds to hang you. Who's them, why they is the very people who ask the questions. Why tell them anything, let alone the truth. But
Men usually lie when they have no idea what the hell happened, like :"Honey, how did your truck get in the living room?", and he don't know, so he makes up something, so as the asker won't think he's anywhere's as stupid as he really is. Tis obvious.

MEN, all men don't lie. I think it's an individual thing. I know women who lie so often I can't talk to them because I can't trust what they are saying is true, and accurate. As for the kids, aren't they a reflection of the parent? If children are given a truthful environment and taught that lying is wrong they can and do understand and develop into truthful trustworthy people. So I would ask you, Is constant lying some sort of insecurity issue.

Because they think the truth will hurt you more than a lie until they realize that you have figured out the lie then they don't know how to tell you the truth because they put themselves in such a big hole!
You have to weigh in the good and bad of your husband and take the next step on whether or not it is worth trying for. Everyone deserves to be happy... and you can be with or without someone else, all on your own. If it is getting in the way of your relationship there are a lot of good guys out there, its getting your foot out the door that is the hard part.

Phewwweey..... Hum.... Why are you bothering ? It sound's like you got a baddun there and if he's lying to that extent, it's time to cut and run. It don't get better babe.
It's not 'Men' who lie, it's liers. I know one myself, and she cant tell the truth by accident, it's just a stream of constant little lies to deflect responsibility.... She wakes late for work she'll lie, she breaks a cup, the cat did it, the car takes a bite out of a post... Hit and run in the carpark... It get's you down, it certainly got me down.
Walk away and find an honest guy. It's a shame for your kid's... But they survive.

A truthful ans. is NO ... not all men.. and not always.. but it works both ways... women can and do lie as well,, u didn't give a lot of info.. but i guess you are a couple? if so there is a problem in river city.. and if not.. well, he is not spoken for he can,, and you can ... do whatever you want.. sounds to me the two of you are not very serious.. it is ok to have friends,,, but when u have friends of the opposite sex,, u and/or he is looking for some better to come along.. ??? so which one is it???

for all you men i know you dont all lie but a minority does. Or maybe this will be a better awnser you may bend the truth.
Men do this as they are worried about the womens reactions.
This does show a breakdown in a relationship. the ebst thing is to explain that you cant put up with the lies anymore.

Perhaps your question should read "do drug addicts always lie?"
This isn't about men, it's about the effect of drugs. People go into denial rather than admit they have a problem. Unless he accepts he has one, you're wasting your time, and you should make him know this is unacceptable by leaving him. You can't live under these circumstances, and unless he is shocked into taking responsibilty, you'll hear the same old excuses. Good luck.

You are confusing men with junkies. A user will always lie. The same is true for alcoholics.
If you don't want lies, get yourself a clean husband.

Are you kidding me? Is it fair for me to ask the following:
Why do women end up with drug addicted losers and then blame ALL men for their own crappy taste and obvious lack of self worth. Why do women who are pissed off at a particular man make broad and outrageous generalizations that are insulting to men and absolutley groundless instead of taking their beef up with the man who caused the problem? Tell me that?
If I said all women are bad drivers because my wife totalled her car, would it be true? No.
So are all men really liars or is it just the man in your life?
More importantly, why would you have kids with a compulsive liar and drug addict in the first place?

He has to want to stop the drug habit but he is a slave to it. The lying is a side effect.
Your family needs some help from a minister or professional marriage counselor. It's that simple. Take a firm stand and get him some help.
