Zoology Degree of Biology Degree with Animal Emphasis?

I want to be a zoo keeper. The director of the zoo near me said some zoo keepers go for a degree in zoology, and some go for degrees in biology with an animal emphasis, to name just two.

What does each degree specifically cover? I need to know which degree I should look into further...

I know we have our intelligence which enables us to create weapons,But do we as a species have any natural weapons.If we didn't have man made weapons hw would we survive against all the other lower animal forms that could rip us to shreds in minutes.Do we rank among some of the weaker animals.Why is our brain our only weapon.

I burst into tears after watching the horrible hidden cameras of humans who rip the skin off off animals and watch them literally cry with pain, how they lay fuzzy little animals down and stomp on their heads, or cut the noses and tails off of little pigs for entertainment or even take the ends of rifles and ram them through the gates of lions and tigers to bash their teeth while laughing hysterically....What the f**k is wrong with these people? I don't give a s**t if im a PETA fan or not but this unnecessary horrible cruelty has to stop.....how...please....how???

I just saw this movie "March of Penguins" and it was sad. Their survival is so hardly earned. They almost freeze to death each year or go without any food for over 4 months and starve to death. Why do they suffer like this? Can't they survive in a place somewhere warner? but still with sea or ocean? I know they've been living like that for a long time, but to me they looked like they were suffering horribly. Especially the young baby penguins. I'm just curious. Scientific or documentary answers are requested only. No guesses please?
