Thats a common question in certain high school and college courses. After the laughing died down the teacher forced them to come up with answers. Its an aid in creative thinking. Outside the box.

The "official" answer to that question has usually been:
"one leg are both always the same"

However, a generally accepted better answer is:
"on land it is walking, in water it is swimming"
or "some are white".
because they actually answer the question by the rules of the english language.

But since so many people know that question,
variations for that same class that the question is usually asked in would include something like:
What is the state of a Duck?
Why is a Duck?
If not a Duck, then what?

Aaarhhh, my laddy, the difference is that ducks lay eggs whearas ducks, on the other hand, are oviparous.
