Me again

Fact: Bugs have a body diameter of only 2cm as they breather through spiracles and not lungs. The ratio of respiration with a concentration of oxygen at 21% (todays enviroment) prevents them from getting bigger as it would be extremely difficult to load oxygen over a lobnger distance to respirinig tissue.

This prevents bugs getting any bigger than 2cm in diamtere

Execptions to this are things like Stag or Rhino beatles, but their large body index is due to their exoskelteon casing, which is made up of chitin and is non respiring.

Back in the days..lets use evo years for arguments sake
bugs were gigantic, Everyones favourite paleontologist ross Geller from Friends has a fossil of A dragon fly with a wingspan over 30 inches on his wall i am sure you have all seen it.

Ok here's the second fact

A dragon fly may rise to an enormopus size and have a wing span over 20 inches becuase it's able to load its body with enoguh oxygen

I have killed two of these spiders in my house in the last week. I just want to know what kind it is and if my family is in any danger from these.

I heard that daddy longlegs or jerrylonglegs or whatever you want to call them! The things that are paperlight, fly, have long legs(duh) and thin long body. Its meant to be that they have the most poinsonous venom in them - but no teeth to use them!! Which has to be the cruelest evolutionary joke!!

And i know that the octopus is the most well known venomous animal.

So today I was playing the piano, and then a random spider suddenly popped up from no where... So i ran for my life trying to find the spray... I think it was some sort of fly spray but it didn't just kill flys... It took me 5 minutes to find it and by the time i got back the spider was gone... I told my friend that, and she believes that the spider could be poisonous. The spider was black with 2 white stripes? It was about 3 cm in length. Anyway i sprayed the back of my piano, but I'm really scared, knowing that there may be a poisonous spider in my house! Anyway I'm from New Zealand, can spiders here kill you?

Is there a spider that is strong enough to push a human out of the way when it's coming after you? I read it on some site but I can't find the site again. It said something about a particular spider that is strong enough that if you were running from it and pushed against your kitchen door (or whatever other door) it could push the door open trying to get at you. Is there really such a spider? If so, what's the name of it? And do you know any sites that I can look on to find information on it?
