When push comes to shove there is not one single animal that the world could not live without (talking multicell beings). However without insects as a whole all the plants and animals on this planet would be extinct within a few years. Animals, including humans would vanish in less than a year.

I would consider honeybees' the most important animal. They are responsible for pollinating thousands of different plants. This allows fruits and vegetables to grow, which sustain life for many many different species other than humans. Without honeybees' thousands of species would go extinct in a very short amount of time.

beetles are the most common kind of insect, so may those. but for the record, bacteria arent animals there are 3 domains, eukarya, archaea and bacteria. animals are eukaryotes and bacteria are obviously...bacteria

Speaking personally, we are. Otherwise it would depend on what you feel is important. To a sheep herder, it would be sheep. To an organic farmer, it could be ladybugs. Take your pick.
